speaker at the show, interior
designer Karin Bohne.
“It’s not that shiny, brassy-
looking gold that many people
remember from the seventies and
eighties,” adds Bohne, founder
and principal of Moeski Design.
“It’s a matte gold with a sleek
contemporary fi nish.”

“I’ve noticed wallpaper is
coming back in a huge way,”
says Friend, owner of Friendly

aff ord pricey art work, fi nd a gor-
geous wallpaper pattern or a post-
er and frame it.”
Her other economical ideas
include purchasing a 22-inch fi ller
for a 20-inch pillow cover to cre-
ate a plush cushion or adding a
rustic tray fi lled with diff erent
sized candles or antique pieces.
