Dear Parents,

We would like to congratulate you on the admission of your ward in our esteemed Institution. We extend a very warm

welcome to you on joining our family of Bunts Sangha’s S.M.Shetty Educational Institutions, Powai.

It is our Institution’s constant endeavor to provide your child the quality education and work towards overall holistic

development. We look forward to a long-lasting and cherishable relationship ahead with you.

We would like to make some important announcements for the forth coming academic year.

Kindly note: Any original document (like Leaving Certificate and /or fitness certificate) required by the school office should be

submitted by 30th

May’19.Please ignore if you have already completed the formalities of document submission.

Details of the Class & Division will be displayed on the school notice board on Saturday 08th

June, 2019, after

4:00 p.m.

1. On 17.06.2019 an orientation is arranged for the parents in the respective classes from 1:00 p.m to 2:30 p.m. It

is compulsory for one of the parents to attend the orientation. Parents should be present in their classes by 12:45

p.m.

2. School will reopen on Tuesday 18.06.2019. School will work from 12:50 p.m to 6:15 p.m. Students will bring

a rough book, stationery pouch, water bottle and snacks. Fancy compass box is strictly not allowed. Students

will be issued the school calendar on this day. Parents are required to read all the rules and regulations and abide

by them strictly. Buses will leave by 6:15 p.m.

3. Parents please note that, a request for leave immediately after the re-opening day will not be sanctioned.

Students absent on the reopening day will not be allowed to attend school on 19.06.2019 without the permission

of the Principal.

4. During the rainy season, all students should wear black shoes and white socks with blue stripes. During heavy

rains, students can carry a pair of socks with them and wear it in the school.

5. Students should carry all the materials when they come to school. No materials or stationery other than

medicines and spectacles will be sent to the students.

6. Half day leave will not be sanctioned except in case of emergency.

7. Parents wish to take leave for their wards must get it sanctioned from the Principal in advance. Unsanctioned

leaves will result in strict action.

8. Students suffering from contagious diseases like chicken pox and measles will not be permitted to attend the

school for a minimum period of two weeks (15 days). This is a rule as per the norms laid down by the board.

9. Birthday Celebrations: Students are not allowed to wear civil dress on their birthday. They are allowed to

distribute any one stationery article (pencil, pen, eraser, sharpener, ruler) to their classmates, the cost of which

needs to be under Rs.5 OR contribute a story book to the class library. Gifts in any other form are strictly

prohibited. Parents should also refrain from inviting staff members to parties.

10. Application of mehendi during festivals, marriages & any other functions will be restricted to the palms only.

Prior permission should be taken for the same.

11. Parents wish to meet the Head Mistress should do so on Mondays with prior written appointment only.

12. Parents can meet the teachers only on Mondays between 12:00 noon and 12:30 p.m with prior appointment

only. Under no circumstances will the parents go to the classes and meet the teachers during school working

hours. All other correspondences will be handled only through the school office.

14. Parents can buy stationery from any vendor mentioned in the book list. Make sure that you buy the text books

and note books from the vendor as per the prescribed requirements only. In case the book does not match the

requirement prescribed by school, books will not be accepted in the school.

15. Language development & enrichment in our institution is integrated with fostering reading habits, vocabulary

building and critical thinking in the curriculum. To fulfill these objectives, it is mandatory for the students to

subscribe to “The Kids Explorer Magazine/ The Junior Explorer Magazine / The Young Explorer

Magazine. Please note that these will be discussed in class and formative assessments will contain subject

matter from these publications. Payments will be made online. Intimation will be sent through SMS

18. In view of the Safety & Security of our students, School has decided that from the academic year

2019-2020, private vans will not be allowed to ply our students. Parents are required to use the

School bus service for the same.

19. To support ‘No Plastic’ initiative, children are requested to replace plastic stationary, tiffin and bottles with eco-

friendly materials (metal, cloth etc.) for the academic year 2019-20.

20. All students will wear a name tag with their Name, Std, Div and Telephone no. on the first day of the

school.

21. Parents are required to download the MICM Edusprint app on their mobiles. All school information will be

available only through the app. User ID and password will be provided once the student joined the school.
