Canteen This Friday the 6th of September will be our final canteen for 2019. Max, Zoe, Emmy and Poppy will be providing the food on the day. Thanks to everyone who has supported canteen this year. A reminder that children can bring up to $3.00 to spend on the day and that all monies raised go towards subsidising the cost of the Year 5/6 Bendigo/Ballarat Excursion.

Open Day Our 2019 Open Day will be held on Tuesday the 24th of September. This year’s Open Day will be held in a different format than it has in the past. In a shorter form than usual the day will begin with a morning tea from 11.00– 11.30. The Students and Delena will then be putting on a musical performance that will finish by lunch time then Parents, Pre-Schoolers, Local Community Members, Relatives and Family Friends can head home. Students will have a normal afternoon of work and then return home on buses at normal bus times. An RSVP will go home soon to help with catering numbers.

Mrs Marchment Long Service Leave Cheryl will be on Long Service Leave for the final 4 weeks of term. The 3/4 class will be taught by Mrs Harrison whilst she is away.

Hot Food Thanks to the Year 5 boys for their great work in heating and handing out the hot food for weeks 1-5. The Year 5 girls have now taken over hot food for weeks 6-10 of term 3.

Meerkat Performance On Thursday the 5th of September all of our students K-6 will view a live performance of the 2019 Picture Book of the Year nomination “ Room on Our Rock “ between 2 & 3pm. All Parents & Pre-Schoolers are most welcome to join us for the performance. All costs associated with the performance are being covered by the school.

Todd Woodbridge Cup Next Friday the 13th of September the Todd Woodbridge Cup for Year 3/4 students will be held at the lawn courts in Deniliquin. It is a fun day that will be played on smaller courts with smaller nets and racquets ( similar to what we have been playing with at school recently). At the moment start / finish times are still being decided, as soon as we have the times I will send home a note with an attached permission note. At this stage Amy Barnes , Rachel Broadhead & I will be providing transport on the day. We hope to be able to leave from school once all buses arrive but changes may need to be made to meet start / finish times , I will keep you all informed. As this is the day before the camp draft we are trying to keep things as simple as possible for everyone.

Music Fees A reminder that fees for Term 3 of Music are now due. They are $20 per child. Thank you to those families who have already paid.

Maintenance Items Over the next 12 months The NSW Department of Education & Training will be improving & replacing a number of things around the school over roughly the next 12 months. These include: Replacing the K/1/2 & Art Room roofs Fixing the Year 5/6 roof Exterior painting of a number of building Installing new solar electric systems Some re flooring Replacement of some air conditioners Installing reversible Netball / Basketball goals on

the court Professionally cleaning & reapplying all lines on the

court Replacement of 2 tanks We have already had the interior of all tanks cleaned over the past fortnight.
