Message from the Principal,

Welcome back students and staff to

Term 3.

We’re looking forward to another happy

and busy term. This term there will be

some changes to teaching staff.

1M: Miss Gibbons will teach 1M for the

rest of the year.

1SH: Mrs Sinnett will be teaching 1SH

full-time for the rest of the year.

2H & 6K: Miss Boardman will have 2H

on Tuesdays and 6K on Wednesdays.

3/4D: Mrs Davis will be on leave for most

of this term, and Mrs McNeil will be

teaching 3/4D on Mondays and Tuesdays

until she returns.

Welcome back to Mrs Lawson who will be

teaching some special programs across

the school.

I hope everyone enjoys the term.

The P&C welcomes back all BPS teachers and students – we trust you had a safe and happy end of term break.

The Week(s) Ahead

P&C Committee

The P&C is seeking parents interested in writing funding grant applications and assisting with the remaining parts of the BPS play ground project.

Those interested are asked to contact Natalie via the P&C email address.

The Fundraising and Garden Groups are seeking volunteers to assist with future initiatives. Those interested can email Sam (Fundraising) or Emily (Garden) via the P&C email address.

Trivia Night

Planning continues for the annual extravaganza that is the BPS P&C Trivia Night – scheduled for Saturday 25 July in the BPS School Hall.

Entry details for teams and individuals are available at the BPS website.

Garden Group

Those interested in attending or being involved in either BPS Garden Group can contact Emily Brown via the P&C email address.

P&C Executive

The next P&C meeting is scheduled for 28 July 2015, 7.30pm (BPS Staff Room). All parents are most welcome to attend and become involved in the goings on of the School.

The position of BPS P&C Secretary continues to be available.

UNIFORM SHOP NEWS FOR

TERM THREE

Due to Term Three being a quiet term

for the uniform shop, we will only be

opening every second Friday afternoon

during this term only.

Opening hours will still be 2.45pm to

3.45pm.

So we will be open on the following

dates:

Friday 31st

July,

Friday 14th

August,

Friday 28th

August,

Friday 11th

September.

Orders can still be placed, paid for and

collected from the front office.

Planet Ark is celebrating 20 years of National Tree Day

- Australia's largest community tree-planting and

nature care event. For the first time this year Bungendore Public School will be

joining around 3,000 Australian schools taking part in Schools

Tree Day 2015 on Friday July 24th

. Tree Day is an opportunity

to do something positive for your local

environment and community and to reconnect with nature. Families are

welcome to attend our tree-planting event – watch for more details in the

next newsletter.

Please consider a donation towards the purchase of plants and

materials, and help to make our school more beautiful! Drop into the

school office or call on 6238 1317.
