Argentina logró segundo triunfo tras complicado tercer parcial

Estados Unidos no dio oportunidades a México

juego”.

Brasil indetenible frente a Venezuela

Argentina achieved second win after difficult third quarter

Santo Domingo July 10, 2012. - The Argentina team today scored his second win by

defeating the Trinitarians combative players in four sets in the opening of the second

day of the VII Pan American Cup for senior men based here.

The Caribbean took some inaccuracies of the South Americans to score a set, but the

Argentines recovered and returned to show his superiority to realize success with

markers of 25-10, 25-18, 24-26 and 25-11.

The winners' offense was led by Mariano Giustiniano (16), Gonzalo Quiroga (15) and

Gonzalo Lapera (12), while the Trinitarian Marc Honore was the only one to reach

double figures with 15 points.

The coach of Argentina, Fabian Muraco, despite the victory expressed anger at the loss

of the third segment, "If yesterday Dominicans demonstrated adulthood to prevent

the same opponents for winning a quarter, mine proved his youth today, we can not

afford that luxury because tomorrow we will face the locals, and if we dont play at a

hundred percetn is put at risk the success."

Meanwhile Gideon Dickson, coach since 2004 of Trinidad and Tobago, noted that "the

Argentines played with a capacity that goes beyond their ages. We learned that way

they played and I hope my team will improve in the remain of the tournament."

Nolan Tash, captain of Trinidad, congratulated the team of Argentina for their empathy

and especially their captain Mariano Giustiniano because of “prominently assuming its

leadership, while we fail to discipline tactics, detail that in the opinion of Argentine DT

“was the strength of these rivals, because it complicated the game. "

Giustiniano himself acknowledged that "it costs us to maintain the level throughout

the game, that's what happened in the third set, but we are happy because we won a

game we had been complicated."

Argentina faces this Wednesday to Dominican Republic in the last turn of the day, from

seven in the evening (local time).

United States provided no opportunities to Mexico

Santo Domingo, July 10. - The U.S. team did not give opportunities for Mexico and

kept their unbeaten status after winning in straight sets in the VII Pan American Cup

for senior men in the Volleyball Hall of thi capital city.

As in the opening yesterday all the northerners players had the opportunity to go to

the court to crystallize an easy victory 25-8, 25-16 and 25-18 in 69 minutes, which

envisions a shock tomorrow in group B between these young and the young Brazilian

team.

In this work dealt Troy Murphy (14 points) was the only player with double figure

overcome, but also contributed to the success Taylor Sander (9), Matthew Rawson and

Garrett Muagututia (both 8) and Daniel McDonnell (7) .

For Mexico the most noted was Leonardo Manzo with only seven points in a game in

which the statistics also reflect what little the Central Americans could do, as they

were surpassed in attack (42-23), blocking (11-7) and service ( 15-10).

Precisely Jorge Miguel Azair, the losing coach, acknowledged with regret the poor work

of his players, "who were misguided, but we knew that defeat the United States and

Brazil would be really complicated, so we must do it well tomorrow against Venezuela

to chalk up a victory in the key."

Azair added the " we will talk with the team, analyze the mistakes of today for the key

game on Wednesday, which should be very even, and what happened today we can

not fix it."

Shawn Patchell, the U.S. coach said that "at first we were concerned with the service

of Mexico that we consider very good and focus on that aspect, I'm proud of my
