Fr. Kyle Needs a Car!

Well not me personally, but I have a dedicated parishioner who has volunteered for many years in

many ways. We could not have accomplished many of the goals we have accomplished without

his generous spirit.

This volunteer now needs to replace his aging vehicle or he will be unable to volunteer for the

parish. The loss of this volunteer would be detrimental to many aspects of parish life. If you have an extra car, pick-up truck or van that you

could consider donating please contact me at the parish office.

We are all in this together. Thank you for

considering giving a gift to this volunteer. It will bless the entire

parish! Page 3 - 979

Oh No The Big 30! 30

Fr. Michael turns 30 on June 1st! Be sure to wish him a Happy Birthday!

Don’t worry Fr. Michael, it’s only a number and in your case, it’s merely 30 years the world has been enjoying you!

GGiving Thanks & Praise for our Priests and Deacons who have chosen to answer God’s Call!

Four very special anniversaries this week. As we are about to enter a weekend of adoration, pray not only for an increase in vocations,

but pray for the four men who serve our communities daily.

Prayer for Priests

Gracious and loving God, we thank you for the gift of our priests. Through them, we experience your presence in the sacraments. Help our priests to be strong in their vocation. Set their souls on fire with love for your people. Grant them the wisdom, understanding, and strength they need to follow in the footsteps of Jesus. Inspire them with the vision of your Kingdom. Give them the words they need to spread the Gospel. Allow them to experience joy in their ministry. Help them to become instruments of your divine grace. We ask this through Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns as our Eternal Priest. Amen.

Prayer for our Deacons

O holy martyr and deacon St. Stephen, I come before you on behalf of Deacon Mitch & Deacon Michael and all deacons who faithfully serve the Church. I pray that you ask the Lord to fill their hearts with compassion, their minds with the wisdom of the Holy Spirit, their hearts with zeal and a deep desire for the salvation of souls.

WEEKEND OF PRAYER FOR VOCATIONS TO THE PRIESTHOOD FRIDAY, JUNE 1ST - SUNDAY, JUNE 3RD

40 HOURS DEVOTION OF EUCHARISTIC ADORATION

Bishop Libasci has asked that we observe the weekend of the Feast of Corpus Christi this year as a time for increased prayer for vocations of the priesthood in our diocese, particularly because we will not have any priestly ordinations this year. In order to do our part, our parishes will be offering “40 Hours Devotion.” On Friday, June 1st through Sunday, June 3rd, we will have extended times of Eucharistic adoration at both St. Anne’s Church and Holy Family Church, all totaling about 40 hours of adoration of the Lord in the Blessed Sacrament.

Fr. Kyle and Fr. Michael ask that all parishioners consider signing up to be a “scheduled adorer” for at least one hour throughout the weekend so that we are assured of continued presence of adorers before the Blessed Sacrament exposed. This will be ongoing through the day and night. We will look to have four people committed to each hour, and of course, we hope everyone in the parish, whether you can commit to a certain time or not, will drop in at varied times or at least once in the 40 hours! You may sign-up to be a scheduled adorer by filling in one of the slots on the sign-up boards located in each church.

In addition to the extended periods of silent adoration, the following opportunities for public prayer will also be offered during the 40 hours of adoration. In particular, please consider attending the highlighted events: the Holy Hour & Candlelight Procession on Friday at 7pm and the Mass for Vocations on Saturday at 10am (the time when we’d normally have the ordination Mass), as these will be special times for us to come together as a whole for prayer.

Friday, June 1st

3:00pm Adoration begins at St. Anne’s Church with Chaplet of Divine Mercy 7:00pm **Holy Hour of Prayer & Music with Candlelight Procession** 9:00pm Rosary: The Joyful Mysteries

Saturday, June 2nd 3:00am Chaplet of Divine Mercy 9:00am Rosary: The Sorrowful Mysteries 10:00am **Holy Mass for Vocations to the Priesthood** (does not fulfill Sunday Mass obligation) 3:00pm Adoration concludes at St. Anne’s Church 7:00pm Adoration begins at Holy Family Church 9:00pm Rosary: The Glorious Mysteries Adoration continues throughout the night at Holy Family Church

Sunday, June 3rd 3:00am Chaplet of Divine Mercy 9:00am Rosary: The Luminous Mysteries 10:55am Adoration concludes at Holy Family Church with Benediction

During the overnight hours of adoration, only the side door of each church will be unlocked.

BINGO Social for St. Vincent's Nursing Home Residents The Knights of Columbus recently sponsored a bingo social at St. Vincent de Paul Rehabilitation and Nursing Home in Berlin, with over 40 residents attending. The Activity Dept. and Nursing Home staff, along with 20 Knights, their wives, and ladies from the community assisted in the festivities. A Fun evening was topped off with homemade cupcakes, ice cream, and maple syrup. Every resident received a small box of chocolates and a beanie animal. The generosity of fellow Knights and local businesses helped to make this social event a huge success. Contributors included Rudy’s Market, Ray’s Electric, Arnold Davis Tree Service, Fleury Patry Funeral Home, Smith & Town Printers, Mr. Auto, Greetings Jewelers, Badger Real Estate, Edward Jones, Tremaine Opticians, Bartoli Barber Shop, Robert Chapman Construction, Paul’s Auto Body, Kellogg Mike Kelly, Valley Creek Eatery, Caron Building & Rental Center, Kelley’s Auto Parts, Dalton Mountain Motor Sports, Doctor Shaw Eye care, Berlin Marketplace, Jericho Deli & Convenience, White Mountain Lumber Co, Bisson’s Sugar House, Rise Private Wealth Management, Peppy’s Electric, and Northland Restaurant & Dairy Bar. The Knights of Columbus would like to thank everyone for their generous donations of time and money. The residents had such a wonderful time; the Knights would like to make this an annual event.
