Liturgies this week

The Stations of the Cross are prayed in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament Mass, Tuesday to Saturday before Mass

Prayer for HealingDear God, Help my unbelief. When I’m in pain, I forget that You care about me. I forget that You have helped me through my trials. I forget that You hold me in Your arms to keep me safe.I forget that You are feeling my pain with me. I forget that You love me. I forget that I am important to you. Show me Your presence – let me feel Your enveloping love. Heal my hurting soul. Thank you for staying with me even in my unbelief.

~ Amen

Deacon Greg Burliuk would like to thank everyone who sent him best wishes by cards, emails, phone calls and even a delightful basket of fruit arranged as flowers. “It’ll be six weeks Monday since my hip replacement surgery and I’m slowly getting better. You should see me soon at church assisted by a cane, but soon after that something you’ve never seen at Our Lady of Lourdes, me walking without a limp. There were some dark days after the surgery, where I’d try and think of positive thoughts to counteract the depressing ones. One of the first things that popped into my mind was the joy I get greeting you after mass because of your smiling faces. Your kind thoughts have taught me how lucky I am to be in your beautiful spiritual family.”

Share Lent Campaign for Development and PeaceShare Lent Pilgrimage-Building community in Indonesia. The 3rd week of our pilgrimage finds us in Indonesia. The word kampung has come to mean ‘slum’ in the local language, but its original definition is ‘community’. Your support for Share Lent means that Try Mopurto, who lives in a kampung, has been able to renovate his home for this family, despite suffering from mental illness. The community is coming together to support him and his family. “My home is my heaven,” he says, “because here we fell the meaning of brotherhood in the social life of the kampong.”
