320 Holy Hours were kept with our Lord in Eucharistic Adoration last week. The risen Christ is present in Eucharistic Adoration. As you make your “Easter” plans, plan a visit with Jesus. For

Today we celebrate Easter Sunday of the Resurrection of the Lord. Our Lenten

journey is over and, hopefully, through prayer, fasting and almsgiving we have undergone a conversion of heart, have cast off the shadow of sin and have become a

new creation enfolded in the light of Christ who, coming back from death’s domain, has shed his peaceful light on humanity and reigns forever and ever. We share in the

resurrection of our Lord and Savior and have the hope of living forever in eternity in the Kingdom of heaven.

Our God did not create us and walk away. When we fell into sin and death, God loved us so much that he sent his son to suffer and die that we might have him

as a redeemer. Truly we rejoice in the mercy, compassion and love of our God. May

you have a blessed and holy Easter! Peace in the risen Christ!

Fr. David Majikas

Let us rejoice and be glad in it!” St. St. Augustine Parish welcomes our newest members of the Church: Jamie August, Jamie Lee Collins, Marie Gabel, and Phillip Hostetler. Please rejoice with them and continue to pray as they continue their life-long journey of Faith!

The next Women of Faith meeting will be April 22 at 6:30pm in the school cafeteria. In the spirit of Easter celebration it will be WOF salad supper and “card” party. Please bring a salad or dessert to share, as well as a deck of cards or game. Call Karen with questions at 330-745-0011 x18, (No time to prepare anything? That’s fine; come anyway!)

The Catholic Home Missions Appeal will take place next week. One way that this Appeal works to support mission dioceses here at home is by supporting seminarian formation in poor dioceses. The blessing of seminarians places a financial burden on the dioceses, which educate each seminarian at a cost of $35,000-$40,000 per year. Your support is needed for these young men, so that they can return to serve their parishes. Please strengthen the Church at home by making a generous gift to next week’s Appeal.
