However, walk-ons are always welcome! The Life Chain is a non-for-profit 501.C3 organization formed by a coalition of Pro-Life churches and groups in and around the Central Indiana area.
Dear Life Chain Contact: Thank you for being an invaluable part of the Central Indiana Life Chain as your church’s contact for this pro-life event, October 2. Without your efforts to build participation at your church, the Life Chain would not be the strong witness for Life that it is. Please assist us by doing the following things:
1. Please ask your pastor how you can best promote the Life Chain at your parish examples
include bulletin announcements, pulpit announcements, and a sign-up table after Mass.
2. Sample bulletin announcements/inserts and flier are included for promotion of the Life Chain.
The insert could as be used as a sign-up sheet for promoting the Life Chain.
3. After you have determined approximately how many of your fellow parishioners will be
participating in the Life Chain, please RSVP to Angela Walker at (317) 698-0461.
PLEASE NOTE: If you have participated in past Life Chains, your location along the Chain will remain
the same unless you are notified. If you do not know your assignment, please contact Larry Holbrook at
(317) 919-1653.
4. Encourage your pastor to announce the Life Chain during or after services at least a week
ahead of time. Be certain your participants know your location along the Chain and give each
a sign from the Life Chain table nearest your assigned location.
5. T-shirts and long sleeve T-shirts, a popular feature of the Chain, are available on an optional
basis from the Life Chain Committee. Orders are due by Friday Sept. 16, 2016 (see the
enclosed order form for information), and pick-up will be Sept. 23 & 24. The shirts are a
wonderful witness for the unborn and help defray the costs of this event, necessary since Life
Chain of Central Indiana is a non-profit 501.C3 organization comprised solely of volunteers.
6. On Sunday, October 2, have your group arrive early enough for the Chain to begin promptly at
2:30 p.m., and please remind them that we need to be aware of the following:
A) We are to pray silently and reverently; small talk is for before 2:30 and after 3:30 p.m.
B) We must not block driveways or stand on people’s lawns.
7. Wherever possible, participants should stand at least 10 feet apart, fill gaps, and make the Chain
as continuous as possible.
Thank you for providing such strong and valuable support for the Life Chain!
