Mission:

Bulgarian IDLO Alumni Association promotes the rule of law, complements at the national level what IDLO does internationally.

Bulgarian IDLO Alumni Association provides legal education and transfers legal knowledge and skills to Bulgaria from the world legal systems and best practices; designs and conducts seminars and discussions on currently important matters of the legal theory and practice; organizes restitutions and facilitates the follow-up of IDLO courses and seminars.

Previous and Current projects:

• Alternative Dispute Resolution for Improved Access to Justice and Rule of Law – 2012;

• The Interpretative Decisions of the Supreme Court as Sources of Law and Fundament for the Rule of Law – 2011;

• Domestic Violence Prevention – 2011;

• Inns of Court – Mentorship in Sofia – 2010;

• Needs Assessment for Reform of the Judiciary in the Context of Public Mistrust and High Performance for Corruption and Inefficiency of the System (preliminary stage) - 2009;

• Public awareness of the possibilities of effective defense of citizens’ rights and interests through Court (National coverage partnership of the Bulgarian IDLO Alumni Association and Darik Radio) – 2007.

International project participation: In the period 2005 – 2007 the Bulgarian IDLO Alumni Association was working under the international project of the International Development Law Organization, based in Rome, which was focused on the intellectual property protection throughout the world.
