Who is Enspire?Enspire was founded in 1999 by five UBC graduates
Goal is to educate children in developing countries
To date, have held events such as annual choir musicals, dance competitions, book drives and soup kitchens in Vancouver, BC
Have funded annual tuition for 18 children from Navotas, Philippines to attend school
The Library ProjectIn May 2006, 15 ambassadors (13 volunteers and 2 Enspire founders) travelled to Norzagaray, Bulacan to help construct a community library
Partnered with Pag-aalay Ng Puso Foundation (PPF)
Has taken on the challenge to fully fund the building of a library facility – approx. $14 000, and outfit the library complete with books, computers and other educational materials and resources
The Relocation Project
Property donated by local in Norzaragay, Bulacan Currently about 130-150 families living in Navotas City will move to Norzaragay, Bulacan They live in very poor conditions, some of the worst in the worldTheir “houses” are on stilts located by a mountain of garbage on the coast of Manila Bay
