WOW! Who can believe that it’s already 2018? CMAA-SAC wrapped up 2017 with some great programs to include the October program on Trends in Technology in the marketplace and the November program that happened just before the Hartsfield Airport power outage –which was on Mission Critical: Its Not Just About Data Centers. Timely? I’d say so. That’s our goal. CMAA-SAC strives to provide programs that make each of us better in our roles in the AEC industry, as well as delivering more opportunities for success for our firms. We kickoff January with two of our most popular programs. First, our breakfast program, The Owners’ RoundTable. This event is our largest program of the year and always sells out. Make sure you join us to meet with various agency and private owners that will help you navigate how to work with their organizations. To wrap up the month – we close it out with our Owners’ Social. This provides our members and prospective members an opportunity to network with Owners and industry partners in a low key social atmosphere. Here is a sneak peek of what’s to come. February will be focused on K-12. Come learn what legislative changes may impact the AEC industry and hear from multiple school system representatives as they share their selection processes and projects they have on the horizon. In March, our breakfast program is, Generation Integration. With multiple generations in the current workforce, hear some perspectives to help be more successful working in a multi-generation environment. Each month we provide Lunch and Learns, which provide introductions to the latest products and/or trends in the industry. And of course, go ahead and mark your calendars for the Annual Birdies, Burgers & Beers Golf Tournament, May 7th. With the addition of the CMAA-SAC Scholarship Foundation, our events now help to support the scholarship fund. On the registration pages, you can now find a place to add a donation in addition to your registration fee. Please think about supporting the growth of the CMAA-SAC Scholarship Foundation. Our Chapter is experiencing tremendous membership growth, and we are working hard to add value to your CMAA membership. The best way for you to get added value is to get more involved; become a member; attend the programs; sponsor programs or events.

Our Chapter is experiencing tremendous membership growth, and we are working hard to add value to your CMAA membership. CMAA-SAC SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION

The CMAA-SAC Scholarship Board has been busy working to get the organization up and running. We have some exciting highlights to share!

• We have been working on the Scholarship Application and that will soon be wrapped up and finalized.

• We have secured Summerour Studio in June for our annual CMAA Banquet, the inaugural Scholarships will be given out at the event.

• The kick off year for the Scholarships will allow Naming Rights to firms at a reduced rate. There are more details to come!

• The Board is working closely with TCSG’s Workforce Development to assist with scholarships that focus on trades.

• We thank you for all the support and we look forward to a bright 2018.

For more information on the Scholarship Foundation or how to donate, please contact: Maureen Gilbert, Multivista – [email protected]

For CMAA South Atlantic Chapter’s January Breakfast Program, we will be joined by many Owners from our local A/E/C industry who are in positions to procure CM and other professional consulting services. On January 4th, CMAA-SAC will open registration for our annual Owners’ Roundtable event which allows participants to meet and converse with Owner representatives in a “speed dating” style format.

Each Owner will provide an overview of his/her respective organization, offer insight as to how to do business with the organization and share a project outlook for 2018. This annual program is a can’t-miss event for anyone looking to expand their business connections and gain further knowledge of multiple market sectors. Attendees will be able to get up close with some of the state’s most influential Owners and ask questions in a relaxed atmosphere.

While registering for this event, attendees will be asked to rank the Owners with whom they wish to visit during the program. While registrants may not get the opportunity to meet with each of their top ranked Owners, CMAA-SAC will make every effort to ensure the majority of requests are fulfilled.

Enough of this cold weather already! Who is ready for a warmer day on the beautiful links at Berkeley Hills Country Club?

We have just the event for you!

Plan to join us for the CMAA-SAC Birdies, Burgers & Beers golf outing on May 7, 2018 at the Berkeley Hills Golf Club in Duluth, Georgia. Your support is vital to the success of the tournament and local CMAA chapter with a portion of the golf outing proceeds supporting the newly-formed CMAA SAC Scholarship foundation fund.

Similar to previous years, this year’s tournament promises to sell out to 128 golfers from the O/A/E/C community. Please join your fellow industry peers for a fun-filled day of golf, networking and foundation support. Registration can be completed online through the links on our website - cmaasac.org.

Thank you to this year’s tournament sponsor, JE Dunn Construction! We are grateful and thankful for your support, commitment and contributions to the CMAA-SAC chapter.

We are counting on our industry partners for your continued sponsor support as well. In return, we will recognize your firm in golf related publications before, during and after the event. We plan to have the traditional hole food & drink sponsorships, proximity contests and new, exciting sponsorships levels listed on the website.

The entire CMAA board is dedicated to making this year’s event the best one yet. Please consider reserving your sponsorship & foursome spots soon and don’t forget your much-appreciated support for the raffle drawings during the awards banquet.

If you have any questions, please contact Gary McGrath at [email protected] or 404-867-3204.
