Examples of good practice

• Numerous school libraries are without the computer and/or an internet access

• School librarians:– have embraced informational and computer

technologies – have started documenting examples of good

practice – exchanging frequently without compensations– using CDs and memory sticks

• Brojne školske knjižnice još uvijek nemaju računalo ili nemaju pristup prema internetu

• Školski su knjižničari:– prigrlili informatičku i informacijsku

tehnologiju – počeli bilježiti primjere dobre prakse – učestalo razmjenjuju svoje radove bez

naknade– koristeći se memorijskim štapićima i CD-ovima

Examples of good practice

• Collections of such works were dispersed on computers and amongst CDs

• Such “private” collections are not practical or economic

• It was getting harder to find the desired file• Solution:

– Unify works and information about works in one network place

– Transfer files to remote server to be united and available to everyone at any time from any place that has access to the internet.

Primjeri dobre prakse

• Kolekcije s takvim radovima raspršene su na računalima i vanjskim medijima.

• Takve privatne kolekcije nisu praktične niti ekonomične.

• Sve je teže pronaći željenu datoteku.• Rješenje:

– Objediniti radove i informacije o radovima na jednom mrežnom mjestu

– Prebaciti datoteke na udaljeni poslužitelj gdje će biti objedinjene i dostupne svakomu u bilo koje doba, s bilo kojeg mjesta koje ima pristup prema internetu.

• Transferring files is not very demanding job

• Gathering and finding information

• Less time on indexing and describing files

• files indexed with more elements

• Accumulating files (with nontransparent names) on server is not functional

• Organizing information

• Less information we will have about them

• Prebacivanje datoteka nije zahtjevan posao

• Prikupljanje i pronalaženje informacija

• Manje utrošenog vrjemena na označivanje i opisivanje datoteka

• Datoteke označene s više elemenata

Gap

• If too high demands are posed upon associates, they will refuse to cooperate and will prefer to exchange files in usual way.

• Huge and disorganized series of files turns visitors away because it brings them in the situation to be forced to manage on their own finding desired information, creating bad image of librarians.

Zamka

• Ako suradnicima postavimo prevelike zahtjeve, odbit će suradnju i nastavit će razmjenjivati datoteke na uobičajeni način. .

• Velik i neorganizirani niz datoteka odbija posjetitelje jer ih dovodi u situaciju da se sami moraju snalaziti u pronalaženju željenih informacija te time stvara lošu predodžbu o knjižničarima

Indexing files

• All files and articles are marked with subject words, that is keywords, and because of characteristics of MediaWiki program that enables simple way for establishing mutual relations using references and creating hierarchy, it seems better to use those keywords in building thesaurus of school libraries.

• Program is modular and additional approach, like using of UDC could be applied to existing files and articles.

Označivanje datoteka

• Sve su datoteke i članci označeni predmetnicama, odnosno ključnim riječima, a zbog karakteristika programa MediaWiki koji omogućuje na jednostavan način međusobnu povezanost i hijerarhijske suodnose ostaje mogućnost da se na temelju ključnih riječi izgradi tezaurus školskog knjižničarstva.

• Program je modularan i omogućuje daljnje obrade, poput primjene UDK na već postojeće datoteke i članke.

Why Wiki?

• Repository and whole site can be run using wiki. • Wiki – very popular and one of the easiest way

in which anybody can participate on quickest way.

• Wiki – can handle enormous number of files and articles, can be upgraded and developed in desired ways

• Answer to the most of our demands.• Other finalists: Moodle, Joomla, PHP Nuke

Zašto Wiki?

• I repozitorij i cijelo mrežno sjedište može pokretati wiki.

• Wiki je veoma popularan i jedan od najjednostavijih načina koji omogućuje svakomu sudjelovanje na najbrži način.

• Wiki se može nositi s golemim brojem datoteka i članaka, može se nadograđivati i razvijati prema određenim zahtjevima.

• Ispunio je najviše naših zahtjeva.• U najužem izboru bili su također: Moodle,

Joomla, PHP Nuke
