What is BIPV ? BIPV or Building Integrated Photo Voltaic, as the name suggests deals with integrating the Solar Photo Voltaic panels into building design. The can be used to replace proposed glazing areas without affecting the contemporary aesthetics of steel & glass or fixed on South façade as building cladding.

Structural sealant glazing (SSG)

• With structural sealant glazing facades, the

solar modules are fixed in place on a metal

frame by means of circumferential load-

transferring bonds.

• This produces facades with a homogeneous

and smooth appearance.

• Furthermore, SSG facades have no external

protruding parts, which means that shading

and dirt traps are avoided.

Reduced Effects of Shading

If the performance of one PV-

module drops, due to shading,

module mismatching, or snow or

dirt on modules for example, the

modules in the same string are

affected negatively. Through the

individual connection in PV-systems

using micro-inverters the PV

modules work independently, each
