Drupal Moldova Association’s mission
is to:

Drupal Moldova Association is a non-
profit NGO founded on 22nd May
2013 by a Group of active Developers
and contributors ‘’ Sergiu Nagailic,
Alexei Gorobets and Stefan Nistor’’

✓ Over 800 participants on all of the
projects;
✓ Over 30 companies supporting us;
✓ More companies appeared on our
market, i.e. Adyax & Intellix;
✓ Drupal Global Training Days - have
had over 300 participants;
✓ Empowered, inspired and motivated
local community;
✓ Collaboration with other International
communities on projects such as
Ukraine;
✓ Grant Support by USAID and the
Swedish Government.
CHALLENGES VS SOLUTIONS
Lack of Speakers/ Trainers
PEOPLE ARE SHY!!!
Difficulties on finding students
Not everyone understands the power of a
community
● Always explain and showcase how a powerful community brings more results
and which benefits they get from being a part;
● Give time to people to acknowledge that by themselves;
● Show people how to contribute to the community and involve them.
Lack of experience on Code Sprints
Advices
● Don’t have HIGH expectations in the beginning and be patient;
● Be explicit;
● Put yourself in the place of others and understand their feelings and needs.
● Collaborate with Companies and NGOs with the same mission.
● Give to your community sense of ownership;
● Remember that you are dealing with human beings who need to be in constant
communication to function properly. If your community loses the human touch,
people will stop contributing to it.
● Finally, keep in mind that every community is different, and no single solution will
ever apply to all of them. Be persistent and never stop learning from your
community, and then adapt.
