Saint Mary HASA News Building Bridges Between You and the Classroom
January 2020
Dear Saint Mary School Families,
We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season and enjoyed
time with family and friends. The first few months of the school year
have flown by and we are now headed into the second half of the
school year.
We are truly blessed here at Saint Mary Catholic School to have a
Parish school that provides an education which combines our
Catholic faith and teachings along with academic excellence. Since
1974, National Catholic School Week is the annual celebration of
Catholic education in the United States. It starts the last Sunday in
January and runs for one week. This year Catholic Schools Week is
being celebrated January 26th through February 1st. The theme is
“Catholic Schools: Learn. Serve. Lead. Succeed.” We will kick-off the
opening of Catholic Schools Week at the 10:30 am Mass on January
26th. Students are invited to attend Mass wearing their Saint Mary
School uniform. Our talented Seraphim and Cherubim Choirs will be
singing. As you read further into this month’s newsletter, please take
note of the CSW schedule of events (found on page 7). You will see
all the fun activities planned for our students throughout the week as
we celebrate our Catholic education and faith.
The Saint Mary School Advisory Board is hosting an event you WON’T
want to miss…...…...Mardis Gras Night at the Races! Gather your
friends and family and join us on Saturday, February 22nd. Cheer on
your horse, check out the wonderful electronic raffle items and have
a fun filled night supporting our school!
In the months ahead, enjoy what our school and HASA has to offer.

Workshop volunteers!! We sold over 1000 gifts and
the students were thrilled to be able to pick out the
