The meeting was called to order at 4:03 p.m.

Present: Mary Buckley, Lavern Nall, Chris Eger, Will Manley
Also Present: Nate Piotrowski, Community Development Director; Elizabeth Spaulding; Deputy Clerk,
Tom Ebert; Shalom Baptist Church
Not Present: Ryan Thacker

III CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES
Ms. Buckley motioned for approval and Mr. Nall seconded the motion. Approval of the May 3,
2021 meeting minutes was unanimous.
IV OLD BUSINESS
None
V PLANS SUBMITTED FOR CONSIDERATION
The following items were on the Agenda for review:
1. Ground Sign–Shalom Baptist Church – 5600 W. Bradley Rd.
Mr. Piotrowski presented the sign plans to the board and confirms it conforms to code standards. It will
be reusing the existing base and incorporating a wooden pillar. Mr. Ebert was present to answer
questions. Mr. Ebert added that electrical lights will be goosenecked from above onto the sign lettering.
Mr. Nall inquired if the pedestal is existing. Mr. Manley inquired if the lettering on the sign is compliant
with zoning. Mr. Piotrowski confirmed that it conforms with the size requirements for this location. Mr.
Manley commented that the sign is simple, clean & beautiful. Mr. Eger commented that the website
address is too small and feels no-one will be able to see it from the road. Ms. Buckley agreed to remove
the website address due to the low visibility and small font. Mr. Eger and Ms. Buckley opined the sign is
attractive. The board recommended to remove the website address but leave the logo. Mr. Ebert
commented that he would bring the recommendation to the church deacons.
It was moved by Ms. Buckley and seconded by Mr. Eger to approve the plans contingent on
removing the website address from the sign. Approval was unanimous.
VII ADJOURNMENT
Mr. Eger motioned to adjourn; Ms. Buckley seconded the motion.
Approval was unanimous.
The meeting adjourned at 4:19 p.m.
The next regularly scheduled meeting is June 7, 2021.
