PLMA 2020 ANNUAL MEETING & LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE
March 26-29 Hyatt Regency Scottsdale • Arizona
Building a Better Private Label Partnership
Presented by the Private Label Manufacturers Association
Successful private label depends on a partnership between manufacturers and
retailers. Trust is very important to both sides. How well is the partnership working? Are the two sides paying attention to each other? Are they solving their problems or burying them in the hope that they go away?
Then there’s technology. Robotics. Artificial intelligence. Traceability. There is also packaging. If e-commerce grows, it will
require new forms of packaging and package design. PLMA’s 2020 Annual
Meeting & Leadership Conference puts the spotlight on the private label
partnership and which best practices can make working
together easier and more productive. The program starts with Ken Harris, Managing Partner at Cadent Consulting Group. New studies by Cadent document the importance of store brands to profitability but highlight
the need for closer working relations between suppliers and retailers. Providing the retail perspective will be Nancy Cota, Vice President of Product Management at Albertsons.
Providing the manufacturer’s perspective will be Tom Ewing, former Director, at T.Marzetti Company.
How serious are the problems? Seth Mendelson, Editor-in-Chief of Store Brands magazine will moderate a reality check with conference attendees.
The second day of the program will be devoted to Duncan Wardle, who specializes in helping companies develop innovative and collaborative solutions to sales and marketing.
PLMA’s 2020 Annual Meeting & Leadership Conference will also host this year’s Hall of Fame induction. More than 65 manufacturers,
retailers and marketing pioneers have already been honored since 1995 for their contributions to the growth of the industry. The Hall of Fame is jointly sponsored by PLMA and Store Brands magazine.
If you are new to private label, then participation in PLMA’s 2020 Annual Meeting & Leadership Conference is the best way to understand the industry.
