Mission Statement
The Budo for Peace Association is an educational organization established as a Recognized Non-Profit organization by the State of Israel in 2004.
Mission: To educate youth with the behavioral values of tolerance, mutual respect and harmonious living with their neighbors and environment through training in traditional martial arts and the Budo values.
Vision
To develop an international network of Ambassadors for Peace motivated by shared Budo values. Their activities will create ties of friendship and co-existence in Israel, the Middle East and the world.
Meaning Budo is the Japanese word for martial arts.Its literal translation is: “The way to stop conflict.”
The term ‘Budo’ includes all types of traditional Japanese martial arts: Karate, Judo, Aikido, etc.
Educational Program
The educational program, taught in the local language, is suitable for every child.
Clubs meet twice weekly for 90 minute sessions. The first hour of each session is dedicated to martial arts training, and the second part is set aside for the study and discussion of Budo values, with an emphasis put on conflict prevention.

Budo for Peace organizes local, regional and national events annually.
Each year, Budo for Peace hosts six educational seminars for its instructors and young leaders.

Peace Camp Initiative
Each summer, a group of BFP young leaders are chosen to attend a US Sports Camp. The Peace Camp Initiative strengthens and develops them toward becoming future Ambassadors for Peace.
