Indias first union budget was presented by mr.R.k shanmukam chetty , who served as a finance minister in Jawaharlal Nehru's cabinet, on november 26,1947

The union budget of India, referred to as the
annual financial statement in Article 112 of the
constitution of India, is the annual budget of the
republic of India, presented each year on the last
working day of February by the Finance
Minister of India in Parliament.
The Budget has to be passed by the house before
it can came into effect on April 1st, the start of
India's Financial year.

hood from agriculture
Its still provide living hood to the people in our
country it fulfill the basic needs of human being and
animals its an important source of row material for
many agro based industries

India’s geographical condition is unique for agriculture, because it provides many favorable conditions.
There are plain areas ,fertile soil, long growing season and wide variation in climatic condition etc..
Apart from unique geographical conditions, India has been consistently making innovative efforts by using science and technology to increase production.

Major steps taken to address the two major factors
critical to agricultural production, that of soil and
water.
‘Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana’ to be fully
supported.
‘Pradhanmantri Gram Sinchai Yojana’ to provide ‘Per
Drop More Crop’.

Rs 5,300 crore to support micro-irrigation, watershed
development and the ‘Pradhan
Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana’. States urged to chip in.
Rs 25,000 crore in 2015-16 to the corpus of Rural
Infrastructure Development Fund
(RIDF) set up in NABARD; Rs 15,000 crore for
Long Term Rural Credit Fund; Rs 45,000 crore for Short
Term Co-operative Rural Credit Refinance Fund; and Rs
15,000 crore for Short Term RRB Refinance Fund.

Target of Rs 8.5 lakh crore of agricultural credit during
the year 2015-16.
Focus on improving the quality and effectiveness of
activities under MGNREGA.
Need to create a National Agriculture Market for the
benefit farmers, which will also
have the incidental benefit of moderating price rises.
Government to work with the States, in NITI, for the
creation of a Unified National Agriculture Market.
