Stellenbosch Waldorf School’s Class 12’s present
Richard Rive’s BUCKINGHAM PALACE—District Six
All through the 5th-7th of June 2019 the class 12 students will be performing the adaptation of Richard Rives Buckingham Palace- District Six. The play tells the story of the ordinary lives of those who lived in the infamous Buck-ingham Palace District Six, from which they were forcibly removed by the apartheid gov-ernment. This adaptation takes us back in time to witness the devastating ending to a cheer-ful, family-oriented community.
The students have put in a substantial amount of time and energy into this produc-tion. It is an integral part of their Waldorf Ed-ucation and we would appreciate it if par-ents, friends and extended family could wit-ness it. The class 12 students have taken on this production into their own hands from direction to stage design to props and cos-tumes. Along with the generous and much appreciated help from their Drama teacher Janis.
SO COME ALONG and witness the feisty Mary 'Madam of the Cashbah' and the vibrant cast of characters of DISTRICT SIX!'

PS and KG Outreach Programme
Macassar Library and Aftercare Cen-tre
We continue with our weekly collec-tion of bread, peanut butter, fruit, jam and pasta. There has been a re-quest for lentils, barley, dried peas, etc. so that soup can be prepared for the children in winter. There are ap-proximately 100 children who are fed after school each day by the facilita-tors at Macassar Library, and for many children this is the only meal of the day.
