We've been working hard behind the scenes to bring you a whole host of new products to delight your customers with during 2014.

Our ready to drink lemonades from Sweetbird on page 16 are not only great for grab & go sales, but offer unique flavour combinations. And, in answer to many customer requests, we are now proud to say the delicious Zuma Vanilla Bean Frappé has been redeveloped to be non-dairy, meaning it can be enjoyed by all your customers. Plus, of course, plenty of recipe ideas for, what we hope will be, the long hot summer ahead...

Cool and creamy, Zuma Frappés are the easy way to keep your espresso sales up when temperatures start to rise.

Frappés can account for up to 15% of your sales in summer, so shouldn't be forgotten when planning your menu. Zuma Frappés offer six delicious stand alone flavours including Zuma Vanilla Bean Frappé. This is the perfect base to add your espresso to, creating a

house blend frappé for coffee loving customers in need of a cool down. Also in the range is the versatile Zuma Yogurt Frappé, perfect blended with smoothie mixes or fresh fruit. You can even add in a handful of oats for a delicious Breakfast Frappé.

Having to stock a variety of products for different customers needs can be costly and confusing for staff, never mind the risk of giving the wrong drink to a customer with an allergy. Taking all these considerations on board and listening to what our customers are asking for we have redeveloped our Zuma Vanilla Bean Frappé to a new non-dairy formulation; making it perfect for your vegan customers and those wishing to enjoy a non-dairy diet.

We've tested and tasted and tested some more, so are more than confident your customers won't notice the difference. We will be introducing the new formulation later in the year, so keep an eye out for 'Non-Dairy' on the front of the tin. Of course, it should be made with a dairy alterative milk - with everything from almond to rice milk widely available this shouldn't be too difficult!

Made with real pieces of chocolate cookie, Zuma Cookies & Cream Frappé totally impressed the judges at the SCAE World of Coffee, scooping the prize for ‘Best New Product’.

This frappé really is the business. Smooth and creamy, it tastes exactly like cookies blended with milk, but without the expense or mess. We recommend a cheeky little squirt of cream, rather than covering the whole top, letting the drink speak for itself.

As with all Zuma Frappés, Cookies & Cream contains no unhealthy hydrogenated fats, preservatives, GMOs, high fructose corn syrup, artificial colours, flavours or preservatives and is approved by the Vegetarian Society.

May Day MadnessA traditional drink to enjoy on May Eve is May punch, made using strawberry smoothie, white wine, cloudy lemonade and woodruff leaves. The Maypole and Morris dancing is, of course, optional.

We get very excited when it comes to bringing you new products so are delighted to introduce this range of bottled lemonades from Sweetbird. Made with real lemons, the three refreshingly different flavours come in 400ml bottles which can be stored ambiently before enjoying chilled, over ice, or on the go. Coming from Sweetbird they are of course free from artificial flavours, colours and preservatives and are approved for vegetarians and vegans. Go on, feel the lemon love…

Raspberry & Orange Iced TeaFill glass to ¾ with ice, add 3 pumps Sweetbird Raspberry Iced Tea syrup and 1 pump Sweetbird Orange syrup, top up with water and stir. Garnish with a slice of orange, or even a couple of raspberries if you're feeling flashy.

Strawberry MilkshakeHalf fill 12oz cup with ice, add 3 pumps Sweetbird Strawberry syrup, top with cold milk. Pour into blender, add half a scoop of Vanilla Bean Frappé Powder and blend. Berry good.

Banana Fudge ShakeHalf fill a 12oz cup with ice and top up with milk. Pour into blender, add 2 pumps Sweetbird Banana syrup, 1 pump Sweetbird Fudge syrup and half a scoop of Zuma Vanilla Bean Frappé. Blend until smooth, pour back into the cup and serve with a straw and a monkey.

Using only a select few Zuma and Sweetbird products it's easy to mix & match to make a huge range of chilled drinks to give your customers tastebuds a treat this when the temperatures rise.

Cool CaramelFill 12oz cup with ice, top with milk and pour into blender jar. Add 2 pumps Sweetbird Caramel sauce and 1 scoop Zuma Vanilla Bean Frappé and blend until smooth. Pour back into cup and drizzle with Sweetbird Caramel sauce to serve.

Summer DazeFill 12oz cup with ice, top up with Sweetbird Strawberry & Banana Smoothie and pour into blender jar. Add 1 pump Sweetbird Pineapple syrup and blend until smooth. Pour back into cup and serve.

Taste of the TropicsFill 12oz cup with ice, add ¹/³, water, fill to the top with Sweetbird Mango smoothie and pour into blender. Add 4 pumps Sweetbird Chilli syrup and 1 pump Sweetbird Lime syrup. Blend until smooth, pour back into the cup (or half a pineapple) and serve.

2. In a jug mix equal measure water and your choice of smoothie mix.

Sauce flavours

Not everyone can pour the perfect rosetta but etching is easy...

Whilst Sweetbird Sauces are often a key ingredient in a drink they can also be used to make your hot and cold drinks something really special. Creating a flower like the one shown here is easy. Create three circles using sauce in a squeezy bottle, then, using the end of a thermometer, draw a line in the foam,

through the sauce, cleaning the end of the thermometer after each swipe. Work around the cup, alternating the direction of the swipe, one from the outside, one from the centre and voila! Once you've mastered this pattern, search online for hundreds of how to guides and design ideas.
