Introduction

BT Simple Slideshow is a FREE perfect slideshow module for Joomla 3.x and 2.5. It

allows you to easily display images with many animation types on responsive

websites. You can upload images from local computer or mobile devices and fully

configure with a lot of options. Also the module supports swiping to change slide on

mobile devices. Let show your images in the most professional way!

Installing and Upgrading

System Requirement

Server requirements

PHP 5.0 or above with GD library is enabled. Please follow this

link to check it

MySQL 5.0 or above

Joomla 2.5.x or above;

Client requirements Firefox, Internet Explorer 9+, Google Chrome

Manual Installation Please follow these steps to install the product:

Step 1: Go to Extension Manager

Step 2: Open Upload Packing File (on Joomla 3.x) tab

Step 3: Browse the install package and click Upload & Install button

Module Upgrading Upgrading of this extension to newest version can be easily done by following again

installation steps above. But we recommend you to back up your changes of source code

and language files in this module before starting any upgrades.

Uninstalling For uninstalling the product, please follow these steps:

Step 1: Go to Extension Manager

Step 2: Click to Manage tab

Step 3: Choose Module style

Step 4: Mark checkbox of the module

Step 5: Click Uninstall button

Setting

Back-end access: Choose Extension Manager from the main menu. Click Module Manager

and start searching the product by using keyword: BT Simple Slideshow or using Joomla

filter to quickly find.

The parameters are divided into the following areas:

Gallery Manager

The module allows you to upload images directly from your local computer by dragging

and dropping images or clicking Select Images button to browse and select images.

Maximum number of images of single upload is 10 and image size has to be smaller than

2MB.

When you drop or finish choosing images, loading progress will run

Image Management

BT Simple Slideshow control panel allows users to take some actions on the images:

- Set each images position by dragging and dropping image.

- Click Edit to change image title from its original name, enter link and description.

- You can use HTML tags for images title and description to create some great text.

- To delete an image your can click Remove button under each image, or click

Delete All for removing all.

Name Description

Module Width You can set this parameter by a number of pixels (ex: 800px) or "auto" for full width

Module Height You can set modules height by a specify number of pixels (ex: 400px) or percentage relative to the width (ex: 50%)

Crop Image Set it by Yes to crop all uploaded images with specified dimension

Image Quality Control your cropped images quality. It helps you optimize images size. 80 is recommended

Crop width Set width of cropped images by a number of pixel but only digits without px

Crop height Set height of cropped images

Thumbnail Width Set width of thumbnail images that is used for Thumbnail pagination

Thumbnail Height Set height of thumbnail images

Show navigation Show/Hide next & previous arrow buttons

Show pagination Show/Hide dots pagination

Show pagination thumbnail Show thumbnail preview when users hover pagination

Interval Set a number of milliseconds between the end of the sliding effect and the beginning of the next one

Effect Choose one or multiple effects that are played when slideshow changes image

Effect Duration Set time of the effect in milliseconds

Pause On Hover Pause the slideshow when users hover it

Allow Portrait If you dont want to crop images and want to display images in different ratio, you can set this parameter by Yes.

Advanced

There are only 2 noticeable parameters, they are Load Jquery and Module Class Suffix.

Name Description

Module Class Suffix This parameter is used when you want to customize style of the module. It adds a suffix to class bt-camera-slider to create a new.

Example: you enter _abc you will have class bt-simple-slideshow_abc and you can create your own style with this class.

If you want to add new class (not suffix), you only need to enter your class to the textbox with a space character at lead.

Example: with your_class, you will have bt-simple-slideshow

Auto Load Jquery The module is a program to detect loaded jQuery on your site, if there is one jQuery loaded, the module wont load its own file.

But if the module needs to be always loaded its jQuery, you can set the parameter by Yes and vice versa

Customize module

Override layout and style

Same with any other modules, BT Simple Slideshow allows users to override its style and

layout, please follow these steps to override it:

1st: After install the module, create mod_bt_simple_slideshow folder in templates/

your_template/ html folder.

2nd: Open folder /moduels/mod_bt_simple_slideshow/tmpl copy file default.php

and 2 folders: css and images to just created mod_bt_simple_slideshow folder. We

will work with copied files in new folder for next steps.

3rd: Change soure code of copied default.php file to change modules layout.

4th: Finally, change or add some CSS rules in file /css/styles.css to change style of

modules elements
