Application shall be submitted online only, No application form shall be received by post.

Online application can be submitted on website www.abvmuup.edu.in

Please give all correct information. The University admission to B.Sc. Nursing will be done on the basis of the

Online Entrance Examination.

Examination will be on MCQ basis in English language only.

At the time of admission, original certificate will be verified. If any discrepancy is found, admission will be

cancelled.

Registered Login credentials (Email/Mobile) will be used for all communications and will be required for

obtaining the Admit card, Result, Counseling details, Allotment Letter, etc

Stepwise Application Process

STEP 1: Register

Create Login by using a Valid Email ID, Mobile Number (OTP verification will be done) and a password of

your choice. (Email Verification will be sent on the email ID, Click on the link to verify and Login) and note

down the LOGIN Details for all future communications.

STEP 2: Payment of examination fee as per Category

By Credit card /Debit card (Master/Visa card only) or Net banking or UPI/BHIM, on the link

https://www.onlinesbi.com/sbicollect/icollecthome.htm?corpID=3880360. The Candidate will be provided a

Receipt with 10 Character Alphanumeric Transaction ID number (eg: DUFxxxxxxx) on successful

payment. Save the receipt for uploading at the time of submitting payment details.

STEP 3: Payment Details Entry

Candidate will Login and fill the Payment Details. It is required to upload a scan copy of the Bank receipt

and mention the AlphanumericTransaction ID for filling the application form. Candidate will receive an

Email on Payment confirmation (within 2 working days). After confirmation candidate can proceed to next

step.

STEP 4: Upload Photo, Signature, and Sample sheet

Upload your passport size colour photograph, scanned signature and scanned copy of The Sample Sheet

(Format Attached) for (Signature, Handwriting Sample, Thumb Impression and Identification Mark).

Photograph: The photograph should be full face, from front, with white background and without

spectacles. A placard showing the name of candidate and the date of photograph taken should be placed

on the chest. The format (.jpg) should be between (20-200 KB size) (sample given Online).

Signature: The Signature should be clear in black ink, the format (.jpg) should be between (20-200 KB

size)

Sample Sheet: The Sample Sheet as per format attached, the format (.jpg) should be between (200-500

KB size)

STEP 5: Application Form Filling, Review and Finally Submit

Fill all the entries in the application form carefully and check them before Final submission as wrongly

filled. Incomplete application form will be rejected and no enquiry will be entertained regarding this.

Online Examination centres may increase or decrease as per the choices given (Allahabad, Agra, Bareilly,

GautamBudh Nagar (NOIDA), Kanpur, Lucknow, Meerut, Gorakhpur, Jhansi, Varanasi). Centre once

allotted will not be changed, even if it is not as per the choice preference.

NO CORRECTION WILL BE ALLOWED AFTER FINAL SUBMISSION

For your personal reference please take a print out of the completed application form.

There is no need to send the printed application.

Candidates will be allowed to enter in the examination hall only on presentation of Admit Card.

Examination will be of 180 minutes duration and will be from 11:00 AM to 2.00 PM.

Candidates are required to be present at the examination center 60 minutes before the commencement of the

examination and to be seated 30 minutes before the time of examination.

No candidate will be allowed to enter in the examination hall 15 minutes after the seating time. Candidate will

be allowed to leave the examination hall only after completion of examination.

Candidates shall sign the attendance sheet when directed to do so by the Invigilators.

Candidates shall not be allowed to carry any textual material, printed or written matter or bits of paper or any

other material except the admit card inside the examination hall. Pagers, cellular phones and electronic

gadgets of any kind are strictly prohibited in the examination hall and shall be treated as use of unfair means.

Candidates are advised not to bring these in the Examination Hall as there is no provision for safe keeping.

Examination will be on MCQ basis in English language only.

There will be 200 Multiple Choice Questions.

Subjects for the written test are – Nursing Aptitude (20%), Physics (20%), Chemistry (20%), Biology (20%),

English and General Knowledge (20%) of Intermediate Standard. Minimum qualifying marks for entrance

examination are 50%.

The MCQ has “One Correct option”. There shall be no Negative Marking.

Candidates shall observe strict silence during their paper. Any disturbance in the examination hall shall be

deemed as misbehavior and the defaulting candidate shall forfeit the right to continue in the examination hall.

The decision of the Center Superintendent shall be final.

No candidate should leave his/her seat of the examination hall without the permission of the Invigilator.

Failure to maintain the discipline and to observe these instructions at the time of examination/admission shall

disqualify the candidate from taking the present examination/admission and also from subsequent examination.

Rules & Regulation

1. Admission to B. Sc Nursing Course in the Nursing Colleges, which are affiliated to the University will be made

on the basis of entrance examination scheduled to be held on 4th week of October/ 1st week of November

2021.

The selection of the candidates will be strictly based on the merit of the entrance examination and

preference of the college given by the candidate.

2. Minimum age for admission is 17 years on or before 31st

December 2021. The maximum age limit for

admission is 35 years for Unreserved (UR), OBC, EWS, SC and ST, however the maximum Age for

candidates with Physical Disability (PH) will be 40 years.

3. Minimum qualifications for admission are as per latest INC regulation.

a) Candidates with Science who have passed qualifying 12th Standard examination (10+2) and must have

obtained a minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) taken together and

passed in English individually from any recognized board.

b) Candidates are also eligible from State Open School recognized by State Government and National

Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by central government having Science subjects and English

only.

c) English is a compulsory subject in 10+2 for eligibility for admission in B.Sc. Nursing.

d) 5% of total marks in core subjects (PCB) in (10+2) is relaxed for SC/ST candidates. It should be 40%

instead of 45% as stated above.

e) Color blind candidates are eligible provided that color corrective contact lens and spectacles are worn

by such candidates.

f) The selection of candidate will be subject to medical fitness. No selected candidate will be permitted to

join the course unless declared medically fit by the Medical Board appointed by the University. The

decision of the Medical Board shall be final.

4. Reservation as per the State Govt. under the reservation policy and within the sanctioned number of seats by

Indian Nursing Council (INC) and not above it.

a. Any change in reservation policy will be followed as per the Uttar Pradesh State government

directives.

b. Reservation for disability (PH): 5% Horizontal reservation will be considered for disabled candidates

with a disability of loco-motor to the tune of 40% to 50% of the lower extremity and other eligibility

criteria with regard to qualification will be same as prescribed for Unreserved (UR) category

candidates. (The Gazette of India No. 275 dated 05th July 2021). NOTE: A committee will be formed

consisting of medical officer authorized by Medical Board of State Government and a nursing expert

in the panel which may decide whether the candidate have the disability of loco-motor to the tune of

40% to 50%.

c. Caste certificate issued by ONLY the competent authority (Tehsildar) of Uttar Pradesh Government

are acceptable.

d. EWSs quota of 10% is admissible provided a valid certificate is furnished which has been issued by

competent authority (Tehsildar) of Uttar Pradesh Government.

e. All the certificates should be issued on or after 1st April 2021.

f. The candidate has to ascertain his own eligibility based on the criteria above, otherwise his/her claim

for reservation will not be considered.

g. Candidates are not supposed to send reservation related certificates at the time of application,

however the onus of proving the correctness of the certificate is wholly on the applicant.

h. If the information furnished by the applicant is found to be incorrect at this stage or at a latter stage

the applicant’s candidature or the applicant’s admission to that course shall stand cancelled.

5. Duration of Course is Four years.

6. Both males and females are eligible.

7. Some colleges may be taking only lady candidates.

8. Candidates must be medically fit. Additional medical checkup may be done before admission (the candidates

who are in the merit list are required to submit certificate of physical fitness from registered medical

practitioner.

9. Candidates for the entrance test will have to pay a fee of Rs. 2000/- for Unreserved (UR), OBC, EWS and

Physical Disability (PH) and Rs. 1200/- for SC/ST payable through State Bank of India – Fee Collect Link

along with the prescribed application form duly filled in.

10. No T.A./D.A. will be paid for attending the Entrance Examination/Interview/Counselling.

11. Implementation of changes in regard to admission process/selection criteria etc. will be incorporated as per

INC notification issued from time to time.

12. There is no provision for rechecking/reevaluation.

13. Result of the entrance shall be available at the website of the University.

14. Distribution of the seats: - Seats in different nursing colleges and seat matrix will be displayed before

counselling.

15. For minority institutions (Govt. approved) 50% seats can be filled by the college themselves. However, the

candidate has to pass CET 2021 with more than 50% marks.

16. Seats may be increased or decreased at the time of counselling on the directives of the Hon’ble Vice

Chancellor.

17. Final Merit list will prepared only for the candidates who have obtained Minimum 50% and above marks in the

entrance examination.

18. In the event of more than one candidate securing same marks in entrance examination result, the

merit will be decided on the basis of highest marks obtained by the candidate in the examination as

per the following order:

a. Higher marks obtained in (i) Biology (ii) Chemistry, (iii) Physics in the online entrance

examination.

b. Intermediate (10+2) examination marks percentage (if in case the marks are same the inter se

merit ranking of individual marks in order of Biology , Chemistry, Physics will be considered)

c. Higher age (Older) in that order.

19. Counselling Procedure: -

a. Counselling shall be held online on these tentative dates:

Tentative Date of 1st counselling 1st week of December 2021

Tentative Date of 2nd counselling 3rd week of December 2021

Last date upto 3rd counselling in which 10thJanuary 2022 (Monday)

students can be admitted against vacancies

b. A nonrefundable fee of Rs. 500/- has to be submitted for counselling.

c. A separate amount of Rs. 5,000/- in favor of Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University, U.P has to be

deposited by the candidates after allotment of seat.

d. The amount of Rs. 5,000/- shall be returned to the candidate on his/her joining of any one of Nursing

courses run by the University. However, if the candidate opts for seat and does not join then University

will forfeit that money.

20. The decision of the Vice-Chancellor shall be final in the matter of selection of candidates for admission to the

course and no appeal shall be entertained on this subject.

21. In case of any legal dispute the jurisdiction will be Lucknow courts and Judicature of Allahabad High

Court, Lucknow Bench only.

ADVISORY FOR CANDIDATES REGARDING COVID-19

1. Candidates need to maintain a space of at least 6 feet from each other at all the time. Queue manager/ropes

and Floor Marks will be arranged outside the centre, follow the instructions provided by the centre staff.

2. Room/Hall number will not be displayed outside the centre to avoid any crowding at any one place in any

situation.

3. On the exam day Candidate will carry on their own- a mask/ face shield, a pair of hand gloves, sanitizer (50ml)

and drinking water in transparent bottles. It is mandatory for the candidate to wear a mask during the exam.

Candidates will be required to sanitize hands by washing with soap or with Hand Sanitizer before entry in the

Centre.

4. Do not bring prohibited items to exam centre as there are no arrangements available for the safe keeping of

your belongings.

5. At the time of entry, the filled Undertaking of Admit card, and body temperature (using Thermo Guns) will be

checked and centre staff will guide you to respective room/hall after contact free frisking and document

verification. Candidates are required to strictly adhere to instructions provided by centre staff.

6. At the time of verification while matching of photo by the examination authorities, candidate have to put off their

masks for better verification with staying at a distant place and after the same, have to put on the mask again.

7. If body temperature is higher than COVID-19 norms, candidate would be giving exam in separate room.

During Examination

1. Candidates can sanitize their hands with sanitizer available in the examination room/hall.

2. In order to stop chances of any UFM being used in the examination, candidate is expected to wear the freshly

provided mask at the centre. The Candidate will be required to remove the mask worn by him/her from home,

and use the mask provided at the centre in examination room.

After the Examination

1. On completion of exam, the candidates will be permitted to move out in an orderly manner, one candidate at a

time. Please wait for instructions from invigilator and do not get up from your seat until advised.
