Metalocalypse! About the Show

Blacha started going to metal shows, and eventually they came up with the idea of doing a show about “a metal band that was 100 times more popular than The Beatles.”

• Series Summary: Daily life of the part-American, part-Scandinavian death metal band Dethklok, their destructive songs playing near the end of many episodes.

Characters - The Band Members

• Nathan Explosion: lead singer• Skwisgaar Skwigelf: lead

guitarist• Toki Wartooth: rhythm

guitarist• Pickles: drummer• William Murderface: bassist

Nathan Explosion

• Tall, bulky, long black hair, green eyes

• Always talks in a deep, gravelly voice, even when he’s not singing

• Writes all the violent, death-bringing songs

• When he’s not performing, Nathan can be a real gentle giant

Skwisgaar Skwigelf

• “A handsome guy who thinks he's the greatest thing in the world“

• Tall, skinny Swedish guy, long blond hair, blue eyes

• Known to be the fastest guitar player in the world

• Plays a Gibson Explorer, which he carries around everywhere

• Arranges Dethklok's songs, writing the guitar lines as well as the bass lines

Toki Wartooth

• Slightly muscular Norwegian guy, a Fu Manchu mustache, long brown hair, pale blue eyes

• Normally has a sweet attitude, admires Skwisgaar, sometimes copying him and getting on his nerves

• Plays a Gibson Flying V

Pickles the Drummer

• Long red dreadlocks with a comb-over skullet, green eyes, an average build with a slight beer belly

• Speaks with a Yooper (sounds Canadian-ish) accent, drinks the most and does the most drugs

William Murderface

• Plays a Gibson Thunderbird Studio 5-string.

• Pudgy, short brown hair, green eyes, speaks with a heavy lisp and a diastema

• “A self-hating bass player who's always trying to act like he's more important than he is“, usually acting rude to everyone

Manager – Charles Foster Ofdensen

• One of the few who hangs around Dethklok for a long time and avoids dying

• Protects the band from fans, enemies, and the legal and financial consequences of their actions

• Bookish and analytical, little patience for humor

• Caretaker to Dethklok, knows the band members' personalities and quirks.

• Gets verbally abused from the band, bears with visible—but controlled—annoyance

• Exceptional skills in close-quarters combat

The Tribunal• A group which monitors Dethklok,

appearing in almost every episode to discuss Dethklok's latest activities and the dangers they pose

• Led by Senator Stampingston, usually having experts speak about whatever Dethklok is doing.

• Both military (General Crozier) and religious (Cardinal Ravenwood, replaced by Vader Orlaag in season 2) leaders

• Headed by Mr. Selatcia, a gray-haired man who sits in a throne in the center

• Four other members, none of them named

Dr. Rockzo, the Rock ‘n’ Roll Clown

• He does cocaine (he will proudly declare this anytime), as well as a number of other drugs

• Real name is Leonard Rockstein• Talks in a high-pitched voice,

every member of Dethklok except Toki hates

• Toki and Dr. Rockzo become friends, since Toki has a "strong childhood trust" of clowns

• The Tribunal hires Dr. Rockzo to gather information about Dethklok from the inside

• Later, the band sends him to be rehabilitated

Episode Summaries• Season 1 episode 1 – The Curse of

Dethklok: After their chef is severely mangled in a helicopter crash, the band has to figure out how to make their own food.

• Season 1 episode 10 - Mordland: Mordhaus is opened for the annual "fan day", leading to the group being threatened with blackmail by operators of Dethklok's biggest fan website.

• Season 2 episode 25 – Dethfashion: Dethklok begin to design clothes, with help from an infamous fashion designer who was convicted of starving his models to death. However, when the group's prototype clothing doesn't fit they are forced to diet.

• Season 2 episode 33 – Klokblocked: When Nathan learns that his ex-girlfriend, Rebecca Nightrod, has already found new love while still in a coma, he decides to return to the dating scene. Unfortunately, the rest of the band refuse to give Nathan and his various dates time alone, even as a band of amazon warrior women lay siege to a Dethklok concert in order to kidnap Nathan in order to use him to impregnate the women warriors.

• Season 3 episode 41 – Dethhealth: The members of Dethklok utilize a variety of potentially dangerous home remedies in a desperate attempt to avoid a visit to the doctor's office.

• Season 3 episode 42 – Dethmas: Dethklok must experience the ultimate brutality of the Holiday season; spending time with their mothers. Meanwhile, Murderface ringleads the ultimate Christmas special that ends up being backed by the Christian church. And a particular rock and roll clown makes a holiday appearance.
