~ Prayer to Mary ~
Gracious and Loving God, as Mary said “YES” to
Your will, may we too be open to Your plan for our lives. We
thank you for the gifts of compassion, service and enthusiasm
shared by our school community. Trusting in Your goodness and
with forgiving hearts, may we respond, like Mary, to Your call to
holiness through mutual respect, humility and patience with one
another. Bless us Lord with a spirit of co-operation as we move
through our days, always being mindful of Your great love for us.
Amen.

Integrity Integrity is following the example of Jesus, by stand-ing firm for what we believe, even when it is hard. A person of integrity follows his/her conscience, making choices which are loving and life giving.
“If you don’t stand for something you’ll fall for
anything.”
You can reinforce the virtue of Integrity by using your Catholic Culture of Deep Caring calendar
at home.
Our Catholic Culture of Deep Caring Calendar
Week One •I follow the teachings of Jesus in my
daily life.
Week Two •I stand up for what I believe and what
my conscience tells me to do.
Week Three •I say what I mean and mean what I
say.
Week Four •I work for justice in all circumstances.

Catholic Education Week: Serving in the Love of Christ Catholic schools are Catholic communities. Catholic schools are faith communities. We – parents, students,
teachers, administrative and support staff – walk and grow together in the faith which we received at our Bap-
tism. And it is ‘together’ that we grow. Our growth is primarily a relationship with God, who at our Baptism,
called us by name. But the response of each of us to that growth is both personal and communal. We grow in
our faith in the nurturing atmosphere of our Catholic community be that of our local parish, our home, or our
Catholic school community.
Our school community will celebrate Catholic Education Week 2014 in ways that are appropriate to our stu-
dents’ age. We invite you to participate in these activities as your personal time and work schedule may
permit.
There are five sub-themes for each day of Catholic Education Week:
Monday – Serve with faithfulness
Tuesday – Serve with humility
Wednesday – Serve with compassion
Thursday – Serve with justice
Friday – Serve with joy
Every year, the Ontario Catholic School Trustees’ Association (OCSTA) provides our Catholic schools with a
resource kit to help schools prepare for Catholic Education Week. Using these resources as well as our own
developed activities we have prepared a series of activities which will highlight how our school is ‘Serving in
the Love of Christ’.
We hope to see many of you during our school celebrations.
