WHEN YOU START A NEW POWERPOINT PRESENTATION, YOUR TITLE SLIDE WILL AUTOMATICALLY BE SET UP FOR YOU….

All you have to do is type in your “Title” and in the

second box labeled “subtitle”

put your name, date, etc.

Inserting a New SlideUnder the “HOME”

tab, click on “NEW SLIDE”

Choose the slide that best defines how you need your content to be arranged

How Do I Change My Slide Layout?• Right click on the

slide you want to change and choose “LAYOUT”

• Click on the slide layout you wish to have, and PowerPoint will automatically change everything for you!

There Are Two Ways To Add A Picture To Your PowerPoint Slides…Choose the “Insert”

tab located on the toolbar

You can click on the “PICTURE” icon and add a picture from your computer files

You can also click on “CLIP ART” icon and add a picture from there

Picture Adding Continued…If you chose a slide layout that contains six symbols representing different add-on functions, you can click on the

picture icon and insert one from your files

Or, you can click on the clip art icon and insert a picture from there

REMEMBER….Too much writing on one slide is confusing to the audience and hard to read

You are writing simple sentences and/or thoughts to bullets, not full paragraphs!

How To Make Your Presentation Pretty!

Click the “DESIGN” tab located on the toolbar

Choose a design of your liking, and PowerPoint will automatically change every slide to the new design!

NOW IT’S YOUR TURN TO CREATE A POWERPOINT PRESENTATION!

Create a 3-5 page slide discussing one of the following: 1) Brushing your teeth

2) Washing a dog3) Making a bed4)Preparing your favorite recipe

Your presentation must include a title slide, picture, and have a design other than standard.

When you have completed your Power Point presentation, save a copy and email it to mailto:[email protected].
