Objective

Depremler sırasında saptanan önemli bulgulardan biri, yapının taşıyı-cılığını ortadan kaldıran beton dayanımı ve dayanıklılığının düşüklüğü-dür. Betonun düşük dayanımı ve dayanıklılığı bileşenlerinin uygunsuz tasarımı ve yanlış uygulamasından kaynaklanır. Uygun tasarlanmayan ve yanlış uygulanan beton, taşıyıcı özelliğini çevresel etkiler nedeniyle zaman içinde yitirebilir.

Beton bileşenleriyle kimyasal olarak etkileşerek betonun gerek taze gerekse sertleşmiş özelliklerini etkileyen katkılar olarak adlandırılan kimyasal katkıların, betonu salt belirli bir dayanıma sahip yapı malze-mesi olarak gören anlayışın çökmesi ve dayanım kadar dayanıklılığın da önemli olduğunun anlaşılması ile, betonda kullanımı neredeyse bir zorunluluk haline gelmiştir. Kimyasal katkıların kullanımı ile betonun taze haldeki işlenebilirliği, sertleşmiş haldeki dayanım ve dayanıklılığı artırılabilmektedir. Dolayısıyla, bir deprem ülkesi olan ülkemizde, yapı stoğunun oldukça önemli bir bölümünü oluşturan betonarme yapı-larda kimyasal katkıların doğru kullanımının önemi açıktır.

Birinci “Yapılarda Kimyasal Katkılar Sempozyum ve Sergisi” TMMOB İnşaat Mühendisleri ve Kimya Mühendisleri Odaları’nın Ankara Şubeleri’nin ortak organizasyonu ile 24-25 Mart 2005 tarih-leri arasında, ikincisi 12-13 Nisan 2007 tarihleri arasında Ankara’da Milli Kütüphane’de düzenlenmiştir. İkincisinin iki yıl ardından yine aynı yerde düzenlenecek olan ve üçüncüsü uluslararası katılımlı olarak gerçekleştirilecek bu sempozyum ve serginin amacı özellikle beto-narme yapılarda oldukça farklı amaçlarla kullanılan kimyasal katkı-larla ilgili sorunları birkez daha gündeme getirmek, bu sorunlara karşı çözüm önerileri geliştirmek ve özellikle bilinçsiz ve/veya yanlış kimya-sal katkı kullanımını ortadan kaldırma ön görüsü getirmektir.

The abstract of the papers should not be shorter than 200 words and should not exceed 2 pages. The abstract should provide very brief information about the contents of the paper and must be submitted to the symposium secretariat by 19th of December 2008 in terms of one hard copy and two Cd copies. Author’s should also point out the subject topic that he paper will be presented. Immediately beneath the title of the abstract, author’s should provide their name and surname, their degree, affiliation and postal addresses. Abstract Guidelinesİngilizce ve Türkçe olarak hazırlanacak olan bildiri özetleri 200 kelimeden az olmayacak, iki sayfayı aşmayacak şekilde ve içerik anlaşı-labilir biçimde verilerek en geç 19 Aralık 2008 tarihine kadar 1 adet basılı asıl ve 2 adet Cd kopyası olarak sempozyum sekreteryasına gönderilmelidir. Bildiri başlığının altında yazarların ad ve soyadları, ünvanları, çalış-tıkları kurumlar ve adresleri yazılmalı, bildi-rinin hangi konu başlığı altında sunulacağı belirtilmelidir. Bildiriyi sunacak kişinin adı ve yazışma adresi ayrıca belirtilmelidir.

Özetleri kabul edilen bildiriler 31 Aralık 2008 tarihine kadar bildiriyi sunacak yazara bildi-rilecek ve bildiri metninin 26 Ocak 2009 tari-hine kadar Sempozyum Sekreteryasına iletil-mesi istenecektir.
