Wow what a year 2014 has shaped up to be. The winter was a little tough in areas and spring seemed to never come. But when the cattle started hitting the auction, things really started to heat up. This has been what cattlemen, big and small have been waiting for a long time.

We are very pleased with the sale offering. The planned matings from sourcing the best genetics we can find have really come to the forefront. We welcome you to analyze and assess the cattle. Hopefully you will find something to use in your program to assist in moving forward to experience these good times in the cattle industry. See you on November 15th!

The 2014 calves received Pfizer One Shot and Vision 7 in the spring as well as a booster in the fall. All sale cattle were treated with Iveron in the fall. The bred heifers were pregnancy examined on August 26th.

Terms: Terms are cash or cheque sale day unless prior arrangements have been made. The right of property shall not pass until after settlement has been made. No invoices will be provided for buyers in attendance unless prior arrangements have been made. Every animal sells to the highest bidder and in case of disputes, the auctioneer’s decision will be final. Current exchange rates will be announced sale day. All monies are in Canadian funds.

Phone, Mail, Wire Bids: Bidders unable to attend the sale may phone, wire or mail their bids to the auctioneer or special representatives. Bids must be received in sufficient time prior to the sale.

Pedigrees: Each purebred animal will carry a registration paper issued by the Canadian Hereford Association. A registration certificate will be duly transferred to the buyer for each animal after payment has been made.

Transfer of Ownership: Proper transfer instructions must be provided at the conclusion of the sale. Extensions will be granted on order bids only. Cost incurred due to incorrect transfer information will be borne by the purchaser. Ownership will not be transferred until full settlement has been made.

Guarantee: Each animal becomes the purchaser’s risk immediately after the animal is sold. Females have been pregnancy tested safe and are considered breeders without any further guarantee. Bull calves, if failing to become breeders, will be replaced or credit given for the purchase of a replacement.

Liability: All persons attend the sale at their own risk. The owners, their employees, sales staff, representatives and facility owner assume no liability, legal or otherwise, should any accidents occur.

Delivery: Delivery will be at cost and the buyer’s risk, should the buyer choose delivery. Assistance will be provided for arranging delivery of cattle. Export cattle will have all necessary health testing performed. Other costs (i.e. brokerage, etc.) will be the responsibility of the purchaser.

Insurance: Agents will be in attendance to insure your purchases. We strongly recommend that purchases are insured for full value.

Errata: All announcements at sale time, written or oral, supersede any written material in the catalogue.

Lunch: Please join us for lunch prior to the sale.

Bull Wintering: On bull purchases of $3500 or more, we will winter your bull free of charge until April 1, 2015. On bull purchases less than $3500, cost of wintering will be $400 for bull calves and $500 for yearling bulls. All bulls wintered MUST be insured. Buyers choosing to take their bulls home sale day will receive a $100.00 discount.
