We would like to share that our children
have been learning about the life cycle of
a butterfly and
ladybugs first hand.
In fact, each of our
Pre-School and Pre-K
children are
experiencing their very own butterfly or
ladybug transformation from real
caterpillars to beautiful butterflies.
Columbia Crawlers
Our Crawlers A will be planting seeds and
will be creating lots of spring activities.
Crawlers B would like to welcome little
Liam Ruiz to their room. They are
looking forward to the nice weather and
taking their children for short buggy rides
outside! Crawlers C will explore how
plants grow by watering and caring for
their classroom plants and learning new
spring songs and finger plays. They will
enhance their language skills while
learning about the sun, plants, flowers and
bugs around them. And a big birthday
wish to Ms. April!
Brown Bears
Brown Bear A will be planting summer
flowers. They are also going to learn
about the growth cycle of a plant. Brown
Bear B is going to focus on nature. They

so much more. They are also going to

music and create a secret recipe for

of baking activities and for this reason
we
The Ivy League Times
Wa
nt to congratulate Ms. Erin for being in
our “Spotlight” of the month.
Why baking? Because
baking helps to develop children’s
listening skills and following step by step
directions. It also enhances their math
skills as well as gross and fine motor skills.
Let’s not forget it’s a yummy treat.
Princeton Preschool
Princeton A will learn about all types of
animals. Farm and ocean animals to
mention a few. They will also discuss
different insects. A few events they are
preparing for are “Tea with Mum” May
10th, a nature walk and a trip to the
library. In Princeton B it’s all
about Mother Goose and nursery rhymes
in celebration of Mother Goose Day May
1st. They will learn about different types
of rhymes and hear lots of stories. They
will also invite families to create their own
nursery rhymes.
Harvard Pre-K
Spring has sprung in Pre-K 2 ! They have
watched their seeds bloom into beautiful
flowers. They have also witnessed the
lifecycle of a butterfly. They saw one pop
out of the chrysalis. It was a great
experience for the children. Please join
them for their Mother’s Day Tea Party
(more details will follow)! They are busy
preparing for their graduation ceremony.
The children are excited about learning
new songs and activities. They have a
patriotic theme for their ceremony. They
are looking forward to another month of
learning and fun. Pre-K 3 will focus on
National Pet Week. They will learn about
transportation and bike safety. They will
also celebrate Cinco de Mayo with
cultural songs and dance.
