Middle School Students

“This award will help me build my self-confidence. It will challenge me by pushing
me to overcome by weaknesses and to accomplish goals others said I could not
do.”
This scholarship is designed to encourage disadvantaged middle school students to attend college after graduating from high school by providing tuition to a summer enrichment program at a North Carolina college or university.
Summer Enrichment Scholarships
Scholarships are awarded up to $1,000 for any Summer Enrichment Program held on an accredited North Carolina College or University campus. Examples include:
Applications can be completed online or may be printed from the NCASFAA website:

All documents must be received by December 1st of each year.
Finalists will be notified by the Middle School Enrichment Committee by December 15th.
Each finalist will be asked to provide a letter of recommendation from his/her school counselor and a letter indicating their eligibility for free or reduced lunch.

Eligibility Requirements
At least 13 years of age at the time of application
Attend middle school in North Carolina
Qualify for free or reduced lunch
