first Authorized Training Organization (ATO)

TRAINING AND EXAMINATIONS

We provide introductory and appreciation, level 1, level 2, and

refresher training courses and examinations in method listed below

for PCN (BS EN ISO 9712) scheme

Training courses can be customised to meet specific needs of the

organisation and are delivered at the IINDT office Batam, or our

remote training center (RTC) in Surabaya, Tangerang and Cilegon.

In partnership with IMechE Engineering Training Solution (IMechE

ETS), We are available to conduct PCN Level 3 examination both

basic and main method.

The training can be done via online. Students are able to work

through the course at their own pace, with some deciding to

organise it around their usual work commitments whilst others have

set aside a dedicated time to work through the syllabus. Either way,

the online training provides significant savings on travel and

accommodation costs.

ONLINE NDT TRAININGMAIN METHOD ULTRASONIC TESTING LEVEL 3

Ultrasonic Testing (UT) is one of only two ISO9712 inspection techniques that is consideredvolumetric. In this context volumetric implies thatthe full body of the component is subjected totesting.

UT may be applied to any solid material (withmass or density) such as metals, plastics, glassand concrete. The most commonly applied area isthe examination of steel and other metals oralloys in all stages of production, from rawcastings, finished forged products and perhapsthe most documented, the inspection ofweldments.

Using mainly portable equipment and withoutassociated safety considerations i.e.radiation/vapours, it may be employed inhazardous environments, on-site and even inunder water environments.

This course has been devised in line with theapplicable BINDT syllabus to provide detail of allkey subject areas in line with ISO 9712. Thecourse therefore provides a solid foundation ofknowledge within ultrasonics to provide you thebest chance of success in future PCN ultrasonictesting examinations as well as employer basedSNT-TC-1A examinations.

IMechE Engineering Training Solutions's onlinetraining program allows students to work andtrack their progress through the course at theirown convenience. This provides the opportunityto spend more time on and revisit specific areasof the course that are not fully understood.

The assessments provide an opportunity to testyour knowledge. Students are able to attemptthese as many times as they see fit but a 70%pass rate is required to progress.

You also have automatic access to our Product Technology General Theory course.Special note: Candidates should ideally hold a PCN Level 2 approval in Ultrasonic Testing with at least 2 years’ experience in NDT/Inspection before attempting the course.
