Essential printing support for corporate environments

n Completely application independent, BENS G3 detects PCL barcode sequences in print data and changes these into barcodes before sending the print job to a PCL printing device on the network.

n Even if an application only uses Unicode for inter-national data exchange, the straightforward printing of such documents is no problem with BENS G3. Upon receipt of Unicode documents, BENS G3 automatically converts these into printable data for Konica Minolta output devices.

Today, printers have to provide more and more features to optimally support different business needs. Customers are no longer expected to match their environment to the printer – instead, printers must adapt to customer requirements. As an essential aspect this includes support for barcode and Unicode printing.

BENS G3 works as a network print server, offering print data stream optimisation to ensure that Konica Minolta output devices adapt to virtually every customer environment.

n Additional filters can be activated to cover cor-porate printing requirements. Two examples are “Carbon Copy”, which automatically produces a second or more print(s) of the same document from another of the printer’s paper sources, or conversion of the proprietary protocol Prescribe to standard PCL.

n The web-based configuration ensures full flexibil-ity for filters and licences, making BENS G3 easily scalable and enhancing the function set of up to 50 printers in a network.
