One of the greatest expressions of andean cosmovision makes reference to the raising of water. We are sons and daughters of the Yakumama goddess, she raises us but to deserve her, we must preserve the environment in which she lives, this means, protecting nature.
YAKUMAMA blesses only those that live in harmony with her, rebelling against changes that suggest the non-natural transformation of the Earth. The protective spirit of nature identifies us with her and commits us as a brand to carry this legend to concrete actions that benefit the Earth, its fruits and those who cultivate it.
Currently, YAKUMAMA consists of five main members, making a total of 1220 organic coffee producer families. They are five cooperatives, with an enormous community spirit located in northern Peru, in the departments of Amazonas and Cajamarca. These zones present rich climates and vegetation but still show quite high poverty indexes but thanks to coffee production, these indexes are being improved. These five cooperatives are:

The district of Chirinos, located in the province of San Ignacio in the department of Cajamarca, is a peaceful district dedicated for years to agriculture. Despite being rich in natural resources, this area has been historicaly affected by poverty.
The 23rd February of 2016, 40 farmers United themselves in the search of building progress together. This is how Caficultores Alto Cajamarca was born, with the spirit of associating ourselves to fnd new courses that will improve the economies of our families, our crops and the development of our land.

COOPERATIVA PROCECAM
PROCECAM LTD. is one of the most dynamic cooperatives in Peru. Made up by many young members, all descendant of families with more than 200 years of coffee tradition. Currently, the cooperative consists of 211 producers, all exclusively dedicated to the growth of organic coffee. We have more than 780 hectares of land, being 400 of them dedicated to coffee growth.
The cooperative is known for its good agricultural practices, orientated to achieving the highest quality under organic, social and enivoronmental friendly conditions.

CAFÉ AMOJÚ
AMOJU is a fresh water creek that crosses and divides the city of Jaen, one of the main cities of Cajamarca. In fact, the Word AMOJU comes from the AWAJUM tongue that means SOURCE OF FRESH WATER.
This is how the name of this cooperative is born. This cooperative is legally constituted since september 2016 and consists of 340 coffee growers with a a total área of 871.25 hectares of coffee.

COOPERATIVA DE SERVICIOS MULTIPLES ECOFOREST LTDA.
Ecoforest Ltd. is located in northern Peru in the regions of Cajamarca and Amazonas. Constituted since the 12th August 2014 by 310 producers dedicated exclusively to coffee growth and having as a base 802.5 hectares of organic coffee.
It has been four years since we decided to unite and form Ecoforest Ltd. starting from then on the transition to the production of special coffee. These years our community has grown and we have started new social projects that benefit our producers in many positive ways.
We are eager to continue advancing, improving the quality of our coffee and through exports, improve the quality of life and give a better economic stability to our associated families.

COOPERATIVA DE SERVICIOS MULTIPLES GALLITO DE LAS ROCAS LTDA
Founded the 4th December of 2012 by 260 coffee producers in the district of Namballe, province of San Ignacio, department of Cajamarca. A total of 550 hectares are dedicated to the growth of organic coffee.
This coffee has been cultivated by our ancestors for more than 100 years having inherited their traditions and knowledge. Now it has become our main economic income and means of support for our families. It is also a sustainable development alternative that permits us social inclusion in harmony with our environment.
Producers in Gallito de las Rocas work together as a family. It is through this cooperation that we have reached a stable income for our community which is constantly growing. It has been six years since we united producers and started the transition towards the production of certified coffee. It is during these years that our community has grown, having executed two social projects having a positive impact on our producers.
