TRANSCRIPT

  • OUR VISIONTo consolidate as a warranty staple, assuring the supply of 100% organic products through Fair Trade that benefits all associated cooperatives.

OUR MISSIONTo promote organic culture and agriculture in our associates by constant technical training and execution of projects that propel a sustainable development of their families and communities.

  • One of the greatest expressions of andean cosmovision makes reference to the raising of water. We are sons and daughters of the Yakumama goddess, she raises us but to deserve her, we must preserve the environment in which she lives, this means, protecting nature.

YAKUMAMA blesses only those that live in harmony with her, rebelling against changes that suggest the non-natural transformation of the Earth. The protective spirit of nature identifies us with her and commits us as a brand to carry this legend to concrete actions that benefit the Earth, its fruits and those who cultivate it.

Currently, YAKUMAMA consists of five main members, making a total of 1220 organic coffee producer families. They are five cooperatives, with an enormous community spirit located in northern Peru, in the departments of Amazonas and Cajamarca. These zones present rich climates and vegetation but still show quite high poverty indexes but thanks to coffee production, these indexes are being improved. These five cooperatives are:
