ABOUT DMIETR Datta Meghe Institute of Engineering, Technology & Research [DMIETR] at Wardha was established in 2008 with a vision to make an indelible mark in the field of engineering education & research. The institute is named after the great visionary, Hon. Shri. Dattaji Meghe [MP, Lok Sabha], founder of Meghe Group of Institutions. Since its inception, DMIETR is striving to develop itself into an institution of quality & excellence in the field of technical education and research. ABOUT DEPARTMENT The Department of Electrical Engineering was established in 2010. Faculty is well qualified and committed. They are monitored as well as motivated by management to improve their qualification and encouraged for their academic pursuit by permitting them to write papers, make presentations and carry out research. Besides, the management ensures that all faculty members are trained in “Mission 10X” program. The department has in past conducted workshops on renewable energy ,MATLAB, etc. Departmental Magazine “INSPIRE” is also published, once in a year. PREAMBLE 21 st Century has been witnessing a tremendous growth in various fields of Science, Engineering and Technology. Globalization has shown new avenues of the opportunities, at the same time, it has brought challenges like sustainable growth of technology and industries. It has become a prime necessity for the industry that the quality of products must comply with international standards and at the same time the product should be cost effective in the global market. This makes Research and development inevitable. Rapid industrialization, increasing power demand and energy efficient technologies have posed several technological and research challenges in a developing country. Thus the National Conference intends to focus on state of art and future developments in the areas of Power Systems & Energy Technologies. The main aim of ENERGIA – 2012 is to provide an opportunity for academicians, industry expert, research scholars and PG students to come together on a common platform so as to discuss and share their experiences and further identify newer areas of research and cooperation. THEMES OF THE CONFERENCE Power Quality Power system modeling and simulation Reliability, Security Assessment and Risk analysis in power system FACTS / HVDC Energy conservation and management Industrial Automation Renewable Energy Sources Energy efficient drive system Fuel Cell Alternate Fuels and Energy Systems Control Techniques for power electronics application. Energy & Environment management Modeling & Optimization of thermal systems Applications of power electronics in power system. Digital protection & SCADA Computer application to power system engineering. Apart from these , papers in other relevant areas of Electrical Engineering are also invited. CALL FOR PAPERS Prospective authors are Invited to submit papers on the above theme to contribute and present their work in the conference. Every accepted paper will be published in online national journal bearing ISSN Number. All the Extended Abstracts will be published in book format bearing ISBN Number. ACCOMMODATION :

Accommodation for pre registered participants will be arranged on payment basis in Guest House / Institute Hostels/hotels in Wardha. The participants should clearly indicate their requirement of accommodation in registration form.

ABOUT WARDHA :Wardha a city which has its name etched in the books of history for its affiliation with the great leader of the world Rashtrapita Mahatma Gandhi. Bapu Kuti, the Ashram at Sevagram, wherefrom Mahatma Gandhi organized and handled “Quit India”, independence movement of 1942 against British raj is visited by lakhs of visitors every year from all the world over. The Buddha Stup managed by Japanese international Buddhist Society, Acharya Vinoba Bhave’s Ashram at Pavnar, Gitai Mandir are some of the famous tourist places in and around Wardha.

TRAVEL INFORMATION :Wardha being located geographically in the country is very well connected by Railways to major cities all over India. The East-West bound trains halt at Wardha junction whereas, North-South Trains have stoppage at Sevagram station. Both these stations are just within 4 Km. The nearest airport, Dr.Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport at Nagpur is around 70 Km from Wardha. The venue of the conference, DMIETR, Sawangi (Meghe) is located within 7 Km from both the railway stations and can be approached by road.
