The Southern California Marimba ConcertSeries aims to reach out to our local communityand enrich people’s lives through high-qualityconcert performances specifically involving themarimba.

Many schools in Southern California have beenoffering percussion programs and raising themusical potential of their students in the lastdecade, resulting in a recent surge of risingpercussionists and marimba specialists.

However, opportunities to perform arelimited, and young students currentlystudying marimba often do not have theopportunity to connect with musicians who playmarimba professionally. This concert seriesseeks to fill in those needs by invitingmarimba artists and other musicians to sharetheir music and providing FREE admission for allhigh school students and under in order to makequality concert music more accessible for ouryouth.

Through the generous and voluntary efforts ofmany individuals, the concert series is able toreserve venues that host these concerts, invitemarimba artists to perform their music, andprovide staff members who make it all happen.These concerts are open to the entire communityand we hope that you will join us inhaving memorable experiences through themusic of the marimba.
