Manual Aluminum Can CrusherPresented by:Suriyaakumar Sivabalan( I11008011 )Supervised by: Mr.RagunathanINTRODUCTIONThis idea generated is basically a very convenient machine for recyclers to save space storing cans by crushing them. The mechanism involved in this machine is the offset crank slider mechanism where the crank is placed higher a bit than the piston slider for rotation. This mechanism is the only mechanism which enables to convert rotary motion into horizontal motion for the piston to move and crush the can on the ramp.

OBJECTIVES To be creative and innovative in designing a manual aluminum can crusher to crush cans faster and easier. To create a machine that is helpful to the recycling community who are able to save space by crushing cans.ADVANTAGES Time saving Easy to crush aluminium cansDISADVANTAGES Bulky and heavyCONCLUSIONThis project is a good example in this aspect which helps recyclers or any other users to save time and energy and make their life easier to do the entire job. This prototype is a first stage of the design so further improvements can be made to come up with more good features in it.

IMPROVEMENTS Can feeder can be upgraded so more cans can be stored for crushing.

Improvise the mechanism so more than one can can be crushed at a time. Usage of different mechanisms such as pneumatic or lever system to crush cans.
