We're looking forward to a fabulous new seasonof shows and events at the Broadway. Coming upin the next few months we'll have something foreveryone: music, comedy, dance and drama; for families, for friends, for folk of all ages.
With so much on it's difficult to pick out highlights but do watch out in this brochure for the all-newBroadway Cinema (see page 15)! Of course, we'remostly about live entertainment and you'll find plentyof that in the Broadway Foyer (page 14) performancespace where you can also chill and chat! There's alsoan offer of some special pampering from our friendsat the Barking Bathhouse (page 13).
In the theatre, the season gets underway like‘greased lightening’ with Sing-a-Long-a Grease, a classic movie for which audience participation is compulsory! There’s also children’s favouritesBananas in Pyjamas, classical Russian ballet TheNutcracker, big band music from The Syd LawrenceOrchestra, Shakespeare’s gripping Othello, anevening with Patricia Routledge, hilarious anecdotesfrom West Ham Legends Tony Cottee and TonyGale, perennial party show Motown’s Greatest Hitsand of course rounding off the year with ourfabulous panto, Jack and the Beanstalk.

Have you ever felt like singing along to yourfavourite musical in the cinema or theatre? Well, now's your chance as Sing-a-Long-a Greasecomes to the Broadway. The famous 1977 moviestarring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John is a fantastic nostalgia-fest of a film, packed with hitsongs that dominated the charts around the world.You can join in with Danny and Sandy and nobodywill tell you to 'shush'. In fact, everyone else will bejoining in too in one great big Grease-themed party!
The evening begins with your host leading a vocalwarm-up before they show you how to use your freefun pack. You'll even get a chance to learn how tohand jive.
Then just sit back and watch Danny and Sandy and the gang, while singing and dancing along tothe lyrics as shown on the screen. It couldn’t beeasier... or more fun! Fancy dress is stronglyencouraged (but not compulsory) and full audience participation essential!

Featuring a soundtrack of hits from the 60’s and70’s, this funny family-friendly show is inspired bythe true story of Arthur Paul Pedrick and his lifeafter retiring from the patent office in 1961.
Ably assisted by his pet cat ‘Ginger’, Pedrickoccupied his time by dreaming up eccentricinventions. From a golf ball locating device to a cat-flap that would also act as a world nucleardeterrent; Pedrick received approval for over 150 patents that he thought would solve some of man-(and cat)kind’s biggest problems.
