The SCA is collecting Coats for Kids. Please donate
gently used coats to help Hampton Roads children stay
warm this winter. Coats will be collected until Thursday,
December 20th. Coats of all sizes (even adults) welcome.
Thank you for your support.
Carol Robe Pressing Party
If you are having that pressing feeling due to the holidays, we have nearly 200 robes to
iron in two days right before the Carol Service and are in need of able hands to help.
Please join us in the MPR Tuesday, December 18 from 1 to 5 or Wednesday, December 19
from 8:30 to noon for our annual carol robe pressing party. We need you to bring your
own iron and board. Steamers are also welcome. If you can only make if for a few hours,
that is ok too. Please contact Wendy Auerbach [email protected] you will be ableto join us.
Holiday Feast
Held on the morning of the Carol Service (Thursday, December 20th), the Holiday Feast
is a cherished tradition at The Williams School.
Served as a seated dinner with place mats, centerpieces, and festive music, Bigs and
Littles, along with members of the faculty, join together for a more formal lunch affair
before our Winter Break begins. Parents and members of the SCA and Honor Councilserve this family style dinner which consists of turkey, a mixed vegetable medley, green
beans, mashed potatoes, rolls and dessert. Prior to this meal, children will be given a
reservation card where they will specify their menu selection. Our menu is specially
designed to accommodate nut and wheat allergies and vegetarian needs. If your child has
more specific restrictions, we encourage you to send in their own lunch.
Children dress in their holiday attire for this festive day. Bigs and Littles exchange a
small gift which is made in school. Please do not bring in additional gifts for the children
to exchange.
In conjunction with our etiquette curriculum, which will be reviewed throughout the next
few weeks in our Assemblies, this meal will reinforce what is taught and encouraged at
TWS.
Please contact Julianne Casey ([email protected]) if you have any questions
regarding this wonderful tradition at TWS.
