Our permitting experience includes preparation of air quality permit applications, development of control technology analyses, emission factor research and development, and air dispersion modeling and impact analyses. Civil EngineeringBroadbent’s civil engineers, CAD technicians, designers, and drafters provide a full suite of civil and land development services. Broadbent’s civil engineering experience covers a broad spectrum of projects for mining, industrial, residential, golf course, and commercial clients.

Broadbent uses the latest AutoCAD software in preparation of our civil designs. This includes three-dimensional modeling to allow cost efficient preparation of project design sheets. In addition to AutoCAD, we use WaterCAD and StormCAD programs to integrate the design of water distribution systems and storm drainage systems into the project. Broadbent engineers also use ArcView GIS software to produce drawings and manage data.

Our engineers are experienced at completing applications and presenting at public hearings required for conditional and special use permits, zoning change applications, and land development code variance requests. Broadbent has been providing environmental reporting, permitting, and natural resource survey services for many years, and preparation of SPCC and SWPPP plans/reports has become a staple service for Broadbent. Broadbent has completed environmental assessments for mining, transportation, utility and recreation projects. We have worked with the Bureau of Land Management, the Federal Highway Administration and the Bureau of Indian Affairs as lead agencies. Stack Testing

Broadbent’s air division also provide comprehensive emission/stack testing services. Our stack testing professionals have over 50 years of experience conducting routine PM test (M5, M17), as well as specialized test such as HCI/CI2 (M26A) or metals testing (M29) at a variety of industrial sources. Each of our Stack Testing professionals are OSHA, MSHA, and aerial lift trained.

Our three mobile continuous monitoring trailers are outfitted with equipment capable of continuous measurement of gaseous emissions of CO2, NO2, NOx, SO2, CO and THC by performing EPA methods 3A, 7E, 6C, 10 and 25A. We can conduct Relative Accuracy Test Audit (RATA) Performance Specifications 1 through 4, 6, 8, 11, 12, and 16.

In addition to providing permit based performance testing, Broadbent can also conduct engineering test evaluations for new or modified equipment throughout the western United States, including Hawaii.
