Feminist Post-Feminist A Feminist interpretation of this video would be… It questions what kind of person she is because she doesn’t like things like sunshine, candy etc. This subverts the idea of her being soft/ gentle but more tough, it suggests that she may not be a motherly character and doesn’t have a nicer side She comes across as someone who wants to change the view of women by commenting aggressively in the press conference and showing the more bold side to her personality The police officer appears to be the more dominate one but then she displays how she can make the authority be inferior to her, so she’s shifting the equilibrium between men and women She may not want to adhere to the stereotypical representation of a women as she has done in previous videos such as “Toxic” by playing the roles of a Secretary , Air Hostess etc. She’s breaking the A Post-Feminist interpretation would oppose the Feminist viewpoint and suggest… She's not perceived as an inferior but superior, she doesn’t take no for an answer and is viewed as a opinionated individual She likes to have a good time and show skin and be a rebel towards society by not conforming That she’s feeding the males ego by giving them what they want by being a sex object for them to look at and be in awe of She is portraying how women should be comfortable in their own skin and how an audience shouldn’t judge how women look or act This video adheres to representation of women being mischievous and wild by not considering how they might be being viewed in society
