Summary:This one day conference was attended by 100+ hospital doctors, general practitioners and medical students. The day comprised of a number of stimulating discussions and interactive lectures. The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh awarded 5.5 CPD points to the delegates who attended the event. The day was successful and the delegates found it beneficial, as reflected in the feedback in the subsequent pages of this document.

Aims and objectives:The main aims and objectives of the conference were as follows:

1. To provide an educational update on current trends on adult solid cancers2. To update on the current issues of interest and significance in the NHS, and3. To address the trainee/training issues of international doctors
