Damian Darlington I just managed to be a child of the 60'sand I was born in Middlesbrough, Teesside, in the NorthEast of England. I got my first guitar for Christmas when Iwas 11 years old, a steel string acoustic. I had a few lessonsat school, but didn’t really start playing seriously until I was13. From the age of 15 I was performing round pubs andclubs with various bands playing all sorts of music. I joinedThe Australian Pink Floyd Show at the beginning of 1994 andover a period of almost 17 years, recently as the musicaldirector, I went on to play in every show, close to 1,300

shows all over the world. I also became increasinglyinterested in the visual aspects of staging a rock concert andworked closely with Bryan Kolupski and helped himproduce and direct all the video content for the TAPFS and, now, Brit Floyd shows. Working with my brother GarethDarlington I also directed and recorded all the soundscapeprogramming. I acted as director for both the TAPFS DVDreleases and in 2007 I had the privilege of directing JohnMartyn’s Live at the Round House DVD. One of John’s lastlive performances before his untimely death. In between the

busy touring schedule I’ve also developed an ensemble calledAcoustic Unlimited www.myspace.com/acousticunlimited whichfeatures my brother Gareth Darlington, my sister JohannaDarlington, Rob Stringer and Steve Gaffney my musical mentor. We play an eclectic mix of jazz, Celtic, classical and rock musicincluding some of my own tunes. I’m hoping to go out on theroad with that at some point; after all, man cannot live by PinkFloyd alone! I have lots and lots of influences – too many tomention here unfortunately but I think my top 6 albums have alot to do with the musician that I am today. Mike Oldfield –

Ommadawn. Al Di Meola, Paco Delucia & John McLaughlin -Friday Night in San Francisco. Pink Floyd – The Wall. First Floydalbum I ever heard when I was 14. Thought it was amazing thenand still do. Rush - Exit Stage Left. Pat Metheny Group – Travelsand Tears for Fears – The Seeds of Love. For all the gearanoraks, instruments wise I use a Fender Strat Plus Deluxe, anOvation Custom Legend acoustic, a Variax Acoustic 700, aVariax Acoustic 300 Nylon and 2 Fouke Industrial Guitar lapsteels, 1 tuned to Em and the other tuned to G.For effects andamplification I use a Roland VG-8, a Roland VG-88, a Boss GT

Pro, an Alesis DEQ-230 graphic, a BBE Acoustimax preamp forthe acoustic instruments, a Rocktron Banshee talkbox and a pairof Roland VGA-7 amps. For vocals I use an AKG D7 microphoneand Ultimate Ears UE11 in ear monitors. My scary moment… Ihad the amazing experience of performing Comfortably Numbalongside Rick Wright at David Gilmour's 50th birthday party!

Ian Cattell July, 1969 in upstate NY. I started the violin andpiano at 4, the trumpet at 11, the bass at 18, and begansinging outside the shower at 25. As a trumpet player inhigh school and later at the Fredonia School of Music Iplayed more jazz and classical gigs than I can count. Ibegan gigging around Syracuse NY on bass in the early90's with various classic rock and original bands. In 1994 Iwas approached to join a new Genesis tribute and beganan 8 year stint with Seconds Out - The Sights and Soundsof Genesis, performing in New York, Ohio, andPennsylvania. In late 1994 I joined Crazy Diamond. In 2002

I co-founded Childhood's End - a Tribute to Pink Floydwith Steve Schad, Eric Garboushian, and Gregory John. In2005, I then took the opportunity to tour the world when Iwas contacted by Damian and Chas from The AustralianPink Floyd Show. After over 500 shows in over 5 years withTAPFS, I'm excited to be working with Damian, Carl,Bobby, Rob, Arran, Emily, Rick, Jacquie, Ola, Gareth andBryan to bring the new Brit Floyd show to PF fans aroundthe world. An interesting fact! As a member of the chorus, Iperformed Beethoven's 9th symphony in Carnegie Hall inNew York City.

Bobby Harrison Harlow, Essex, England.Nineteen-seventy-several. Started to play guitar the age of13. I spent a number of years playing original material inmany bands. Several of these projects secured recordingcontracts. In recent years, I have toured the USA andCanada extensively with The Australian Pink Floyd Showand have played guitar for the hit Queen show We WillRock You in London’s West End, as well as in Zurich,Stuttgart and Vienna - where I also performed with BrianMay. In 2009, I toured Europe with Richard O’Brien’sRocky Horror Show. Studio work includes sessions for thelate composer Michael Kamen on the song Jubilation: a

piece written for Queen Elizabeth’s Golden Jubilee andrecorded at Abbey Road studios, featuring Westlife, TheLighthouse Family and Dame Kiri Te Kanawa. I love LedZeppelin II. The outro section on "What Is and What ShouldNever Be" is one of the greatest moments in recorded rockmusic, in my opinion. Even the hairs on the hairs on theback of my neck stand up when I hear it. The core of myrig is a Cornford MK50 mkII head, an RJM RG-16 Switcherand Keeley Electronics Effects Pedals. Guitar-wise, I useErnie Ball Musicman, Gibson and Fender electric guitars(depending on the nature of the gig) and various acousticguitars.

Rob StringerWorcester, November 1978. 6 years old on ahonky-tonk piano in in my parents utility room, I canremember the smell of washing powder. Played the themefrom the Incredible Hulk about 1000 times on it andboogie-woogie as fast as possible with the least musicalitypossible. Played keyboards on 2 previous Aussie FloydUS/Canadian tours. I have also worked as a jazz pianist onthe North West UK scene, playing in various groups and nowhave my own group, The Bobby Swing Trio in which I sing(or croon...) and play piano. Was a chorister as a boy - waslucky to tour Europe, US/Canada and South Africa between

9-13. Wasn't that angelic though... Miles Davis 'Kind Of Blue'- absolute perfection. Wonderful tunes, beautiful sound, suchgreat players, there's enough in it to last a lifetime...INord Stage 88, Yamaha ANiX (for all the minimoog stuff!),Alesis QSR, Leslie 145 speaker. I once performed piano infront of an audience where in the front row, sitting next toeach other were Sir Paul McCartney, Yoko Ono, Sir GeorgeMartin, Olivia Harrison and Sir Peter Blake. I didn't knowthey were there and when I saw them all I nearly fell off thekeyboard stool and my hands were shaking. Took a week torecover...

Rick Benbow Gloucester 1959. I started piano at the age of 4and never stopped lessons until I left college. I bought my firstelectronic organ at age 14 and built my first synthesiser at age15. After my baptism into the church of rock hearing MovingWaves by Focus, I did the usual apprenticeship playing villagehalls trying to recreate something close to TopographicOcean. I was in a few bands in Cambridge as New Wavebroke, then toured for a short while with a folk rock group. Isigned a record deal to Rough Trade with Simon Warner andmade one album which had 100% rave reviews. This led to alot of work with other artists - Jewel, Sneaker Pimps, TheMighty Wah!, Ishtar, Francis Maggiulli, Save Ferris, Emmer

Swimming, Scarlet, Default, Bender. Since 1998 I have touredlive with Think Floyd, The Spirit of Pink Floyd and most recentlyThe Australian Pink Floyd as well as other tribute showsdedicated to Beatles and Prog Rock. Anyone who stretches theboundaries is good with me: The Cardiacs, King Crimson, Yes,Early Genesis, Focus, Gentle Giant, Gong, Supergrass, PinkFloyd, Mars Volta, Frank Zappa, Mike Oldfield, ELP, Van derGraaf Generator, Webern, Messiaen ... I take a controllerkeyboard and plug it into my laptop with Mainstage installedwhich provides all the Hammonds, Leslie Cabinets, Wurlitzers,Mellotrons, Rhodes, Mini-Moogs, Pro-soloists, Polysynths andstring machines I could ever want.

Carl Brunsdon Cambridge UK, 1973. I started playing saxage 11 and bass at 23. I've recently been playing sax, bass, percussion, guitar and keyboards with TheAustralian Pink Floyd Show. I dig everything that is funkyand run a number of my own funk/groove bands via mywebsite: www.regroovemusic.co.uk. I'm passionate aboutmusic education and am regularly employed as anassociate lecturer for the PGCE Secondary Music Courseat Manchester Metropolitan University. I am also currentlyemployed by Roland to write online teaching supportmaterials. Influences are too many to mention but there's a

fairly hefty chunk of Maceo Parker with some smatteringsof Kenny Garrett. It's all finished off with a light dusting ofNew Orleans Second Line. Bass: Bootsy! Spirit Of Eden byTalk Talk. For me, the album is timeless and it's intensity iscompelling. The sounds used are incredible - they allwork together expressively to create an amazingsoundscape. There is also an enchanting edginessthroughout that is particularly highlighted in the keytracks: I Believe in You and Desire. I am completely andunashamedly addicted to Adidas Gazelles.

Ola Bienkowska I was born in Warsaw, Poland. I startedtaking piano lessons at six, but always preferred to sing. After high school I trained at the Frederic Chopin MusicSchool in Warsaw. Afterwards I’ve studied at the LiverpoolInstitute for Performing Arts. My latest solo credits includetwo large scale orchestral projects - “Listy z Placu Zgody”(Letters From Concord Square) and “OratoriumKalwaryjskie” (Kalwaria Oratorio), which were performedand recorded live before an audience of nearly 50thousand. This year I’ve also provided lead and backingvocals for Oscar nominated animator Tomasz Bagiński’s

“An Animated History Of Poland”. I’m also lookingforward to Polish crooner Wojciech Gassowski’s big bandalbum release in November, as our duet – a rendition of“Dream A Little Dream Of Me” – will be the first single ofthe album. When not on tour with Brit Floyd, I do a lot ofdubbing and voice-overs, record TV adverts and jinglesfor radio stations. I will also be in the studio to finallyrecord my own music in early 2011. I love Joni Mitchell –Both Sides Now, Billy Holliday – Lady in Satin, John Mayer –Continuum and Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9 in E Minor"From the New World"

Jacquie WilliamsWolverhampton sometime in the 60's.Hush hush! I started singing professionally at the age of14. I have performed Backing Vocal's for Musicians suchas Michael Buble, Martin Fry, Jason Donovan, ThelmaHouston, Richard Derbyshire (Living in a box), TonyChristie, Blue, Kim Sledge (Sister Sledge), Ultravox, EdwinStarr, and many others. In addition I have Solo releaseswith EMI/Sony/Logic, and Dance hits with"Deconstruction", "Release", "Lies" and "Feel the Love". Ialso wrote a song that reached the UK chart position no. 6in 2005 for US Diva Kathy Brown with a song called

"Stronger on my Own", oh the list goes on... If I had to picka favourite song, it would be "Waiting in Vain" by BobMarley, because it marks a part of my life that conjures uphappy times and memories...innocence. Three interestingfacts about myself! I sang the theme tune for the gameshow "The Gladiators" in 90's. My family won on FamilyFortunes and Les Dennis asked me to sing live. Also I wasa live model for a Christian Dior range of tights andleggings.

Emily Jollands Lower Hutt, near Wellington, New Zealand,in June 1981. I started off playing the piano, when I wasfour. I was surrounded by music from a very young age. Aside from playing Cinderella at age 12, running a girls'Gospel Choir and performing in musical theatreproductions whilst at school, my professional singing lifedidn't really begin until I left university in 2003, and got aone-off gig with a certain Australian tribute band whoplayed Pink Floyd. After that first show in Liverpool, therest, as they say, is history... I have, let's say, a very widetaste in music; I love Led Zeppelin, 'Nick Drake, and Derek

and the Dominos to name just a few. Apart from the fact Iwas born in New Zealand, which is always a goodice-breaker, I can do a pretty convincing Scouse accent. Ihave this on good authority. Also, whilst working as awaitress at a family friend's party, aged about fifteen, Imanaged to sing impromptu backing vocals for SteveWinwood. Four years passed before somebody told mewho he was!

Amy Smith I was born in the 80’s and we’ll leave it at that.I grew up in Liverpool. I was very little when I startedplaying piano and was always singing as a child. I comefrom a musical household. I started performing in publicat about 11 years old. I graduated from LIPA in 2003. Istarted working with Damian and Chas and The AustralianPink Floyd Show in autumn 2003 and worked with them onvarious tours until 2009. In between that I had a record andpublishing deal and toured with my own band playingsupport slots for artists such as KD Lang, Ray Lamontagne,Jamie Cullum and Simply Red. As a little girl I loved

Dionne Warwick, Peggy Lee and Karen Carpenter. Lateron in college I spent time listening to Aretha Franklin, EllaFitzgerald and Sandy Denny. I also love ‘Coles Corner’ byRichard Hawley. It’s just a beautifully written, producedand performed album that reminds me of a very specialperson, place and time in my life.

Gareth Darlington Crewe, Cheshire, England. 1977. I'm the youngest of 3 brother's and 2 sisters, 5 of us beingmusicians. When I was about 4, my mother caught mebanging out the theme tune from 'The Wombles' on mybrothers keyboard and said something along the lines of"Oh s**t! Not another one..." And so I started my inevitablejourney into the euphonious and strangely compellingworld of music. I trained as a classical pianist at the age of10, then picked up the guitar, and finally ended uplearning the Violin. I always had a keen interest incomputers as well as music, and ended up combining the

two and learned how to work with DAW's (Cubase/logicetc.). I started performing in bands and mixing in my lateteens. Then finally I got into live sound professionally, andfound it to be a natural progression from the studio. In 1998I began working with Damian, mu brother, and the “TheAustralian Pink Floyd” doing various audioprogramming/sequencing and sound production jobs,FOH mixing and keyboard tech'ing. The rest is history. I’mreally excited about the new Brit Floyd project andworking with the guys at ESS. They helped us out big timeon the recent Classic Rock Show tour.

Bryan Kolupski Rochester, New York, 1976. At a very early ageI began by decorating my Mother’s expensive collection ofEncyclopaedia Britannica’s with red crayon. After which Ireceived a proper slapping and decided I should probablyexpand my horizons and develop my skills in other forms ofartistic expression. All kidding aside, in regard to the currentwork I provide for these concert shows - it all comes down tothe experience I had when my Father first took me along to seePink Floyd's Pulse tour in 1994. Needless to say, it blew meaway on such an immense level, musically and visually. To nowbe in a place where we can expand on the framework theoriginal Pink Floyd shows had laid down before us, gives us so

many fantastic ideas to indulge in for the future. In addition to the video animations I have worked on a greatnumber of projects. including Video and Film Production,Interactive Media Development, Graphic Design andPhotography. I also like to doodle, as I am a cartoonist at heart.I have so many influences. There is the obvious; StormThorgerson and Gerald Scarfe, however I’m also a hugeSalvador Dali fan (needless trivia fact - we actually share thesame birthday). I need to mention cartoonists Chuck Jones andMatt Groening, 3D artist & animator Tomasz Bagiński (FallenArt), stop-motion artists such as Adam Jones and film directorsJean-Pierre Jeunet and Michel Gondry are also quite inspiring.
