Bringing Jesus to the North Central United States by planting

synergistically together

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, the Maker of heaven and earth,

and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord:

Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost,

born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate,

was crucified, dead, and buried;He descended into hell.

Page 3: Bringing Jesus to the North Central United States by planting & growing healthy congregations advanced by boldly apostolic leaders working synergistically

The third dayHe arose again from the dead;

He ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand

of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge

the quick and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Ghost;the holy catholic church;

the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins;

the resurrection of the body;and the life everlasting.

Amen.

Barriers in Reaching Unchurched

• The unchurched are not lazy but passionately disinterested.

• Stirring worship, better pews, cool events are NOT compelling.

A certain man was preparing a great banquet and invited many guests. At the time of the banquet he sent his servant to tell those who had been invited, 'Come, for everything is now ready.‘ "But they all alike began to make excuses ... "The servant came back and reported this to his master. Then the owner of the house became angry and ordered his servant, 'Go out quickly into the streets and alleys of the town and bring in the poor, the crippled, the blind and the lame.‘ "'Sir,' the servant said, 'what you ordered has been done, but there is still room.‘ "Then the master told his servant, 'Go out to the roads and country lanes and compel them to come in, so that my house will be full. I tell you, not one of those who were invited will get a taste of my banquet.'“ Luke 14:16ff

As Jesus looked up, he saw the rich putting their gifts into the temple treasury. He also saw a poor widow put in two very small copper coins. "Truly I tell you," he said, "this poor widow has put in more than all the others. All these people gave their gifts out of their wealth; but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on.“

Luke 21:1-4

"You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. "You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

Matthew 5:13-16

IMPACT • ID Need You Can Meet– What are your passions– What are your gifts– What are your resources– What are community needs– What are community

resources

• Change Lives • Bridge Credibility Gap

Two blind men were sitting by the roadside, and when they heard that Jesus was going by, they shouted, "Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!" The crowd rebuked them and told them to be quiet, but they shouted all the louder, "Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!" Jesus stopped and called them. "What do you want me to do for you?" he asked. "Lord," they answered, "we want our sight." Jesus had compassion on them and touched their eyes. Immediately they received their sight and followed him.

We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ.
