INFORMATION ON TECHNICAL DATA
Pigment content approx. %The stated pigment content in approx. % should be regarded only as a guide. The decisive standardization criterion is the tinctorial strength.
Weather resistanceDIN 53387 D Evaluation DIN 54001, ISO 105 A02Grey scale 1-5 to assess change in colorThe optimum value is 5
LightfastnessDIN 54004 Xenon testISO 105 B02Blue scale 1-8The optimum value is 8
The lightfastness and weather resistance were determined in an acrylic emulsion paint system, see fastness data.
Fastness to alkalis and acidsStrips of 1 % full shade, 1.5 cm wide, are immersed for 5 min each in a 2.5 % caustic soda solution (fastness to alkali) or 5 % hydrochloric acid (fastness to acids) and then rinsed and dried. The fastness is evaluated according to the grey scale of 1-5, with 5 being the optimum value.

AQUEOUS PIGMENT PREPARATIONS
Fine pastes products from LANXESS are aqueous disper-sions of organic pigments – Levanyl® LF – and inorganic pigments – Levanox® LF. All formulations are virtually solvent-free.
LANXESS aqueous pigment dispersions combine high per-formance with easy dosing and mixing characteristics without the need for a lengthy grinding process. In addition, Levanyl® LF and Levanox® LF products develop the best color strength, gloss, transparency and intensity with low energy and dosage due to their small particle size and high pigment content.
Levanyl® LF and Levanox® LF – Tailored Properties Maximum color strength Small particle size Tailored non-ionic dispersant system No further additives / binders / resins added Perfect compatibility of preparation blends Low viscosity 12-24 months shelf life from delivery ex plant
Versatile Applications – Levanyl® LF and Levanox® LF DispersionsLevanyl® LF and Levanox® LF pigment dispersions are desig-ned to meet special technical requirements. These products are an excellent choice for the following applications:
Architectural paints (water-based) Construction industry (concrete, mortar) Wood stains / Wood protection Paper industry
Decorative paper coloration, shading of optical brighteners
Special anionic dispersions (Yellow E4G-A, Black A-SF) Synthetic leather (PU coagulation) Stationery inks Seed treatment Latex (balloons, gloves)
Up to Date – Ecological PropertiesLevanyl® LF and Levanox® LF dispersions meet up to date ecological requirements and are a reliable basis for ecological formulations.
Virtually solvent free No volatile organic compounds
– virtually VOC free In compliance with ecological norms and
ecolabel requirements Full REACH support from a professional,
globally acting organization

LANXESS extended the Levanyl® LF and Levanox® LF dis-persion portfolio with high performance pigments for outdoor applications:
6 newly developed dispersions Organic and inorganic high performance pigments
with very good light and weather fastness Fully compatible with existing LANXESS portfolio
Tailored dispersant system Identical preservatives Virtually VOC free
Significantly extended brilliant color space Improved rheology formulation of inorganic pigment
dispersions for easy homogenization after storage
Organic Dispersions Levanyl® LF Quinacridone magenta (P. R. 122, Magenta B-LF ) Neutral DPP red (P. R. 254, Red 3G-LF)
Outstanding Properties – Long term storage of new LEVANOX® LF Dispersions Dispersed inorganic pigment particles will settle
during long-term storage as an effect of their high density
Settled pigment particles often build up a solid presscake that can no longer be re-homogenized
Newly developed Levanox® dispersions contain a special formulation which keep settled particles easily redispersible by stirring, thus allowing low viscosity of the dispersions for easy handling
