VI. VI. BRIEF ASSESSMENTBRIEF ASSESSMENT

Consolacion is one of the most accessible exit point from Cebu City and Mandaue City. Some Criminals prefer to hide this town because some of its Barangays are located in remote places. The police to population ratio is 1 to 3,612 people.

Residents of Pier area from adjacent cities made this town

as a relocation site wherein, most of them are unemployed and no other way of living except to commit crimes in order to survive. Despite the rigid effort of the policemen, some problems are encountered such as lack of police personnel, armaments (short FAS) and mobility (police vehicle) to be used during night and beat patrol in order to minimize the occurrence of crimes.

However, despite of these constraints, the peace and order situation of this municipality is manageable.
