Curriculum

Our curriculum focuses on developing our students holistically. In Primary 3, the students will study a new subject and enjoy new learning experiences.

How to prepare for learning of Science

• Science is EVERYWHERE!

• CURIOSITY is the basis for all branches of Science.

• Encourage your child to ask questions.

• Let your child find the answers to his/her questions.

(You can do it with them too!)

• Let your children explore the Science that surrounds them.

(Find science in the home!)

P3 Co-Curricular Activities (CCA)

In 2020, P3 class allocation is based on CCA selection

Objectives

• CCAs are an integral part of our students’ holistic education.

• Through CCA, students discover their interests and talents while developing values and competencies

• CCAs foster social integration and deepens students’ sense of belonging, commitment and sense of responsibility to school, community and nation

Eunos Primary Learning Dispositions: DARE

Learning dispositions are positive behaviours and attitudes towards learning. They are important for students in their journey as life-long learners and they support student’s learning and development in the various learning areas.

There are four learning dispositions (DARE) that we seek to develop in every student:

- Determined Learner- Active Learner- Respectful Learner- Engaged Learner

-I complete tasks to the best of my ability

-I do my work by myself

-I always produce work of acceptable quality

Respectful Learner

-I pay attention when others are talking

-I wait for my turn patiently

-I get the attention of my teachers in a polite

manner, eg raising my hand

Active Learner

-I ask questions when I do not understand or

when I want to learn more

-I act on my teachers’ feedback so that I can

improve

-I respond to my teachers when they speak to me

or ask me questions

-I participate actively in the activities for my class

Engaged Learner

-I stay focused during lessons

-I hand in my work and forms punctually

-I have all the materials needed for the lesson

-I take responsibility for noting work and

instructions in my school diary

Edusave Good Progress Award (GPA)

This award is given to students who have shown significant improvements in

their display of learning dispositions (LD) as observed by their teachers over

the course of the entire year.

P3 Gifted Education Programme (GEP)

• Identify suitable students with high intellectual potential

• GEP Screening Exercise - 19 Aug 2020 (Wednesday)

(English Language and Mathematics) - Shortlisted pupils are invited to participate in the Selection Exercise.

• GEP Selection Exercise - 20, 21 October 2020 (Tuesday, Wednesday)
