Financing the MDGs by the Provincial Government

Objective

To empower the students with the ability to express and explore their own version of learning, an education that is not locked in the box. This will give the learners a chance to excel and focus on the field of their choice.

Rationale

One of the main thrust of the province is to provide a qualityeducation for all - thus a globally competitive program foreducation was conceptualized through information technologytools.

2011 – distributed 550 units in 4 municipalities

2012 – 1,110 units cover 10 municipalities

“One Laptop Per 2 Pupils”

Teachers from Lubang confirmedthat the use of XO laptop has giventhe pupils not just computer-literacybut better appreciation foreducation. They learn, share, createand collaborate.
