THE GUIDE

The 2017 Open Studios Guide will be A5 landscape format, colour-coded by area. There will be a print-run of 10,000 copies which will be distributed widely in Bridport and surrounding towns and villages, in Tourist Information Centres, Galleries, Arts Centres, Shops, Hotels, Restaurants etc. A digital version of the guide will also be be uploaded as a PDF to the website. Note: We will send you a PDF draft copy of the Guide for you to proof-check, so please contact us if there are any discrepancies.

ONLINE

Artists’ entries will be uploaded to www.bridportopenstudios.co.uk once we receive your application and confirm payment. We also keep visitors and artists informed with a Blog on our website, a Twitter feed @BridportOS and a Facebook page www.facebook.com/BridportOS.

INSURANCE

Please note: It is your responsibility to arrange for Public Liability Insurance for the duration of the event. Bridport & West Dorset Open Studios cannot be held responsible for any accident or problem which may arise during the Open Studios event.

GUIDE DISTRIBUTION & HELP NEEDED

All artists taking part are asked to distribute the Guide to their local B&B’s, Pubs, Restaurants and so on. If you are able to distribute in towns or cities within our catchment area, please let us know on Pack Collection Day (end of August) so that we can coordinate. Desirable destinations include Bristol, Bath, Exeter, Salisbury, Dorchester, Honiton, Blandford, Poole, Sherborne, Wimborne, Swanage, Weymouth, Yeovil, etc.

EXHIBITION AT BRIDPORT ARTS CENTRE

This years accompanying exhibition at Bridport Arts Centre “Exploring Bridport’s Arts Studios” will replace the traditional “Six by Nine” exhibition. Artists will be asked to contribute one larger artwork for display, we will let you know the dimensions in due course. The exhibition will run in the foyer & cafe gallery spaces Tuesday 8th August – Saturday 2nd September, just before the main event.

THE LAUNCH

The Private View and Launch night for this exhibition is booked for Friday 11th August from 5:30pm to 7:30pm at Bridport Arts Centre. Celebrations will continue with a ticketed gig where the band DESIGN will play in the theatre from 7:30pm.

FULL (Feature) page: £245

A ‘feature’ profile for 1 artist, up to 100 words, set out with 1 (huge) landscape or up to 4 images.

1/2 page: £280 (£140 each)

A standard entry for 2 artists, including 50 words, with 1 portrait image per artist.

FULL (Feature) page: £320 (£160 each for a ½ page each)

A larger ‘feature’ entry for 2 artists, set out with up to four images and up to 100 words.
