GM is at the forefront of this change
Strengthen and Grow Define and Lead the Futureour Core Business of Personal Mobility through Technology
In regard to Core Vehicles: Last year, we sold 10 million vehicles around the world….the most we’ve ever sold in one year
• Nearly 40% of our global sales over the next three years will come from models that are either all-new or recently refreshed
We are investing
heavily in the areas of:
Connectivity
Electrification
Shared Mobility
Autonomous Vehicles
In regard to our mission to Define and Lead the
Future of Personal Mobility…
Autonomous Vehicles
• We believe that self-driving technology holds enormous benefits to society in the form of increased safety and access to transportation
• Safety is the cornerstone of our approach
− We believe that automated technology has tremendous potential to reduce the human operator error that is the cause of over 90% of vehicle crashes
• Today’s safety features are technology building blocks toward autonomous driving
All GM vehicles are built with safety in mind

Cadillac Super CruiseThe new standard for hands-free highway driving
Super Cruise utilizes two advanced technology systems
• Driver Attention System
• Precision LiDAR map data
Ensures safe, confident vehicle operation
Result is a true hands-free driving experience for long road trips or highway commutes

Cadillac CT6 with Super Cruise
Exclusive Driver Attention System includes a network of cameras and radars for a data-rich approach unique to the industry
Uses a small camera located on the top of the steering column
• Infrared lights in the camera track head position and determine where the driver is looking while Super Cruise is engaged
• If the driver’s attention is off the road for too long, CT6 will prompt the driver to pay attention with visual, tactile and audible indicators

Moving into Autonomous Vehicles• In March 2016, GM acquired Cruise Automation. This strategic move is providing GM with
additional deep software talent and rapid development capability
• GM recently announced it will add more than 1,100 new jobs and invest $14 million in a new
R&D facility for Cruise Automation in San Francisco
